“Mary Janes” were not originally women’s or girls shoe. They were originally sold for boys and girls; sometime around the beginning of the 20th century, the Brown Shoe Company (named after the cartoon character Buster Brown) sold these T-strap or T-bar shoes mostly to school children of either sex. Only after the name, Mary Jane, became popular in America, did they gradually become associated with girls. However, for years after, that many British and other European schoolboys still wore shoes with this kind of strap across the top of the foot. I intend to bring back this unisex style as sex, and in fact, crocs sizing usually indicate both a men’s and women’s size in their adult shoes. For those who have never gotten sold on Crocs, especially those who think the they don’t support high arches or really the rest of the foot very well, this model is particular shoe, feels more strongly constructed, more capable of cradling and cushioning the feet. I took them on their maiden voyage tonight, a walk approximately half mile each direction in the rain to the store. I wore socks with them and they neither slipped nor caught me short with sudden friction, as I have sometimes experienced with the base model of Crocs. I got 1 size larger than the size I have usually taken (7-9 instead of 6-8) but that was because I planned to wear them with socks, in winter, while the 6-8 size is good for summer without socks. In fact, though there is a bit of extra room in the toe box, the footbed feels very comfortable and secure despite the lack of strap available to slide over the heel. I’d say these are a better quality, more supportive shoe than the base model Croc, and the higher price is justified by more than just a cutesie stylistic look. Love these shoes! Someone else commented on my sparkly shoes - “Like Crocs but fun!” Haha, they are Crocs! They do run a bit larger but I am not going to return. My crocs are always roomy but you notice it a bit more with these since they are a bit heavier. But I wear them everywhere!

This style is nice but be aware they run very wide. I wear them but can't adjust them to get a perfect fit because they are so wide. The length is accurate size-wise. i always wear a 7 in Crocs. Great color. Great value and sturdy construction.

These crocs are so cute. I wore them yesterday and got compliments. They are comfortable and are so eye catching and especially since they are glitter. They fit me perfect, and I was able to tighten them up on top of my feet to not be so wide with the straps. They are durable, and with the reputation that crocs gives, they are perfect. No problem walking in these at all. They are functional for work and for just casual wearing. The price for these was amazing. I paid $26.99 and I'd paid more for them.
