Bought this to familiarize myself on who Zack was before FF7 Rebirth releases and I enjoyed my time. It's not a long game, but the pacing and story were fun from start to finish. Combat was fun and the materia fusion mechanic along with the optional missions kept me coming back to try out new skills. Would recommend. ... show more

So FFVII is easily my favorite game of all time and ever since the originals release in ‘97, I have made it my mission to play anything relating to that game. But I never bought a PSP so never got the chance to see Zack’s story. Well all these years later I finally got a chance to see Zack’s story thanks to this remaster and I have to say I love Zack even more having seen his story play out. The game is by no means perfect. It is repetitive with simple as can be combat. The missions get old real fast but essentially everything is locked behind them so you pretty much have no choice but to do them. And so them A LOT. But for me, as a huge fan of FFVII, it was all more than worth it just to see Zack’s emotional story. So for any fans of the VII compilation and have somehow yet to play this gem, I heavily recommend. ... show more

Star Rating is for the game itself. Great looking remaster of the Old PSP game. Probably the best remaster Square has ever done. * Amazon's shipping wasn't the best. this package was put in the equivalent of a brown paper bag with no protection at all (usually there is some bubble wrap). This led to the game case being crushed, with a giant dent in it. The Disc survived, which is good. I ended up swapping the box art with another game box where I don't care about its appearance, but I do wish they took better care of my package. I did get it on release day for once, which was nice. So amazon's shipping job, I'd give a 2 out of 5. Got very lucky the disc didn't break. ... show more
