I was excited to use smart vinyl, but it really cuts like trash and doesn't like to come off the backing. Be wise and use a cutting mat and non-smart vinyl (for smaller projects), because this stuff is a pain to use

This is really nice vinyl for the cricut joy. It is quite expensive as there our other brands that are less costly but, the quality does go down. So I guess it would depend on how and what you are using it for.

This is the easiest product to use with the cricut joy. No mat needed, just cut the needed length and load. My biggest issue is cost. It does cost more than other non "smart" vinyl and colors seem to be much more limited vs. other vinyl brands.
