Description

The Patrol BC is an impressively light weight, rear inflation BC that is anatomically designed for maximum comfort and durability. The special air cell compression strap guarantees extra quick deflation and volume control. The ultralight rigid back plate with its integrated carrying handle ensures optimal stability. The Patrol also features Cressi’s Flat-Lock-Aid integrated weight system that makes it easy to release the pockets. There are 3 pressure relief valves: one on the upper part of the hose, one valve on the right-hand side of the shoulder and a third on the lower right-hand side of the air cell. The Patrol also features plastic d-rings to help reduce weight and the shoulder and waist harness are fully adjustable to one full size up or down from the stated size.

  • Plenty of room for weights.
I read previous reviews about concerns for weights, I dove with 10lbs, and 14lbs (wet suit). I had plenty of room for another 10 lbs if you use the right lead. (IE 3/4/5 lb each). You could run out of room if you were just using 2lbs, that seems like bad weight management. There is also the pocket and a tank add-on for more weight but I was never close to looking for that. Also the zipper pouch is very easy to change weights in and out, very fast. Then load them when you have them zipped up. Glad I went with this instead of the $900 scubapro hydros. Now I can use the extra money for other scuba stuff I don't need but want. :D ... show more

  • Adjustable, light, trim pockets a must
Size: Medium Color: Black
Used 7 days straight of intense boat diving, worked very well. Added tank strap trim pockets (any 2 inch strap brand will do) are a must for proper balance (should come with them but they are cheap). I used 55% weight in the wing pockets and 45% in tank strap pockets - your balance may differ. The straps for everything are adjustable, eliminating most any fit issue or conversion from no exposure suit to something very bulky. Air dump can happen 4 ways -- traditional hose valve, or pull down on the inflation hose opens a port at the top left, or right side pull cord, or bottom right pull cord. All very convenient. There is a "pocket" that is clumsy at best -- I left it rolled up and secured, with all of my add-on gear either clipped directly on or clipped to retractors. A real pocket somewhere, maybe the sides of the weight pockets, might be appreciated but not a major loss. The benefits are lightweight, easy to adjust, fits well in the mesh boat bag for transport. ... show more

  • Lot's of features. See my complaint
Size: Medium Color: Black
I'm 5' 8", 170#- I ordered a large, but probably could have been better served with a Med. Nice BCD with lots of built in features. The Con I have is that the inflator hose is a smaller diameter than all my other BCD's (I'm guessing a 1/2" ID hose), so that my integrated octopus/inflator regulator would not fit onto this BCD hose, So I have to either figure out a reducing adapter and inner cable or go back to using a regular octo line. Otherwise this BCD has everything needed underwater. One other thing: this is my first back inflator BCD. My older BCDs would squeeze my sides at the surface, and I hated that-- but the advantage of that is that you float and can swim face up with those. This Cressi, with the back inflation and the integrated weight pockets forces you to float and swim face DOWN-- more effort on the surface. Guess that is a downside for integrated weight pockets and weight in front of the hips. ... show more

  • Just what I needed, it's perfect.
Size: Large Color: Black
This BCD is well built yet light weight and full featured. It feels good enough and has all the features of a normal BC without the extra weight and bulk, making it perfect for normal diving as well as vacation diving. It packs away pretty flat in a suit case and weighs very little. I highly reccomend this BC for just about any kind of diving situation but especially for traveling or for those people that just want to shave 10lbs off their gear weight without losing features. ... show more

  • Excellent product
I have 10 dives on this bcd and I have found it to be an excellent value for the cost. No complaints. It is built like a tank.

  • Waist strap slips
Size: Small Color: Black
I've found that, between dives, the straps holding the weight pockets slip, so that even cinching with the front part of the strap doesn't work (too loose). I'll macgyver something to fix this. Makes the BCD a sloppy fit.
