Second pair the in...these fit well even for wider feet. After a short break-in period they do the job well for lap swimming daily (I swim 2hrs 5x/week). With that much usage...I got over six months' usage off my first pair. Clasp takes a little getting used to as far as adjusting but they hold well and the rubber is very durable. Would buy again! They provide an ample amount of resistance and really help to even out the workout between legs and arms. I find without them my legs are "free-wheeling" and give an uneven workout. Bought these fins to use for snorkeling when traveling. Perfect because the short length (a) is easier to control when over shallow reefs, so you don't risk flapping into coral and breaking it, and (b) this is much less stressful if your legs are not accustomed to frequent excursions... long fins tire out your calves much faster. Yes you may kick a bit more, but I found them easy to use, not tiring, and effective for moving around. These are not for scuba, though! I was wearing a neoprene booty with a light but true rubberized sole (not just gripper dots), and with that, found the fins true to size and extremely comfortable. Not sure about barefoot because I never tried them that way. I wear a women's US 8 and bought size S/M. Very happy with their performance and quality. ... show more

UPDATE: Contacted Cressi warranty, and they replied that the curving is "normal", and it doesn't affect its use. Also, they suggested that if it "bothers me", I could blow hot air on it using a air dryer and try to straighten it. So, just to humor myself, I tried the hot hairdryer -- as expected, there's absolutely NO WAY to bend it back straight! The curved part of the rubber is so RIGID that it takes a lot of force just to straighten it. Just for reference, the material feels like those thick tupperware containers. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Firstly, I have several other sets of Cressida fins in the last 3 years, and they fit and worked very well after snorkeling many times in warm tropical oceans. However, with this new set, after only 3 snorkeling swims in the tropical Pacific ocean, both the left and right tips became deformed, bending downwards with a pronounced curve (see pic and video) so that it significantly reduces its effectiveness at propelling forward. It also makes it awkward to walk in the ocean, which I sometimes do when snorkeling in shallow water. All other Cressi flippers I have remained straight even after many uses. ... show more

Love Cressi. They are designed & made in Italy. They're the Bruno Magli of Fins. Comfortable yet force you to keep kicking. I use them to swim. Gave my legs a decent workout. Plus you can go pretty fast which I love.

Easy to fit in the luggage for traveling. Bought the yellow color - do a close up on the image to make sure you like how the color is applied; some options have more colorful parts. Bought the L/XL for men's size 11 shoe, still tight but workable. Straps are easy to adjust and didn't slip for me. Rotate the straps 1/4 turn down and push up on the connector if you want to take them off all together. We did that to share straps with another Cressi fin. ... show more

I bought these specifically to wear over my dive boots as that's what you do with open heel fins. I bought both my and my spouse a size larger than indicated, my spouse's a size larger than mine. I could not fit my dive boot into either pair. Other than that these fins look to be of good quality and a good length for snorkeling. Don't expect to be able to wear dive boots with these fins. I guess you could wear a sock but that might get uncomfortable. ... show more

    • Great fins for a casual snorkeler
I bought these fins for a trip to Montenegrin coast to do some casual snorkeling on the beach. My main criteria was that the fins should be short - I had very little previous experience swimming in fins and wanted something easy for a start. I also wanted them to fit in a carry-on sized luggage easily. These worked out great. They are inexpensive, well-made and very comfortable even on bare feet. They're not very fast, but I didn't expect them to be fast given their size. According to Cressi's 2010 catalog, the sizes for these fins are as follows: XS/S 2/4 S/M 4/7 M/L 7/10 L/XL 10/13 For stats, I'm male, 24, have a narrow foot and usually wear size 10 - size M/L turned out a good fit. ... show more
