The face mask has an excellent seal and good strap adjustment so several different users were able to use this set without anyone experiencing water leaking into the mask. The snorkel is good at blocking water from waves or quick swims underwater. The fins are nice because they are compact for travel but long enough to be useful.

I really wanted to like these. The fins and snorkel work and fit great. The mask has a seam on each side of the nose piece that lets water in by the nose. It looks like poor manufacturing on the silicon gasket part. I tried them loose, and tight to see if I could get a good seal but ended up drinking a lot of saltwater through my nose. Iโll be looking for something different for my next trip. Update: I tried 3 other pairs of goggles, all of which had the same leaky nose problem. After shaving my stubble it fixed the problem. These were the most comfortable out of all the pairs I tried. I had a great time on the reef thanks to these.

Short fins are perfect for ocean snorkeling. During our trip, the ocean got very rough and the fins really helped me swim back to the boat. The snorkel set is excellent quality. Some fogging and water in your mouth may happen but that's expected of any snorkeling kit.

I owned a basic snorkeling set quite some time ago that today would be considered an old-school mask, shoe fins and an attached open-end snorkeling tube. That set was great back in the 80's, but what would be considered a basic set today is light years beyond what I was using. This Cressi snorkeling set is designed and manufactured in Italy. Cressi has been making water gear like this since 1946. This basic snorkeling set comes in two color combinations: Royal Blue & Black and Mustard Yellow and Black. The fins are considered short adjustable fins (SAF), measuring 17โ from end to end. The flip end is 8โ wide. I wear a size 9 M (D) shoe, so according to the fit listing on Amazon I should wear a Medium/Large pair of fins (shoe sizes 8-10). That size fit me perfectly. Unlike the fins I used to have, there is a single gill opening on the underside near the end of my toes that allows water to flow through the fins, rather than collect in the foot pocket. My old school fins had a large opening on the top of the fins (see photo). The rubber heel strap is easily adjusted in ยผโ increments for a snug fit. Each end of the heel strap is adjusted and secured through a clever hard plastic device snapped on and located on each side of the heel area; the device swivels for a comfortable fit around the heel. These devices can be removed from the fins and attached again by a pop-on and slide system over a stud. A builtin quick release button on each device makes removing the fins easy. The mask is so much better than the one I used to have. I don't have a large noggin, so fitting my somewhat narrow face was very important. The soft inside skirt included nose area that is large enough to comfortably and completely cover my nose. The rest of the skirt fit nicely around my cheeks and up and over my eyebrows. The amount of vision through the double silicone windows was excellent. The mask strap is adjustable by a pull strap with very closely located teeth for the best possible fit and seal. The snorkel has a clasp to attach it to the mask. The mouthpiece is soft and flexible and fit nicely inside my mouth with a bite grip to secure it in place. The bottom 5โ of the snorkel is soft and flexible so fitting and keeping the mouthpiece inside was also comfortable. This is what is called a dry snorkel. This kind of snorkel has a special valve on top of the tube that completely seals out all water (and air) when a wave comes over, or when you dive underwater. That way you don't have to clear them when you come back to the surface. It took me awhile to get accustomed to how the valve worked and mostly to trust that it would work! When done right, this is a really special feature. Cressi also included a black nylon zippered carrying bag with a nylon carrying handgrip that had just enough room to fit the fins, mask and snorkel. If the gear is still a little wet when stored inside the bag, Cressi also added a brass ring opening at the bottom end of the bag for drainage. I enjoyed using this Cressi snorkeling gear. Every piece fit me, fit comfortably and is manufactured to last a long time. Overall, I couldn't find anything that was missing or needed improvement. Recommended.

Overall, a great set to bring along on vacation - used to snorkel a couple of times while in the TCI. Never got any water in the eye portion. However, sometimes struggled to get a good seal on the nose portion (doesnโt effect breathing, since thatโs through the mouth, yet burns the nostrils!).

Great product. But, I will say. Take the time using a lighter and toothpaste to properly burn off the excess silicone from the mask. Otherwise, it fogs almost immediately.

I ordered both this snorkel set and a highly rated, more expensive silicone "frameless" mask, expecting to keep the latter & use this set only as a backup. Turned out the frameless mask, 1 size only, didn't fit my smaller face. The (well-priced) snorkel set mask fit comfortably, & most important, did not leak. Only quibble I might have would be connecting/adjusting the snorkel. But the mask & snorkel provided me hours of great vacation snorkeling - I recommend. [Note: Set includes fins; I haven't tried these yet.]
