I just recently got into wet shaving. When I started using these cartridges, I didn't use enough shaving cream and got nicks several times. After I used a liberal amount of shaving cream and found the right directions to move the razor over my face, the razor worked well. I've only used this with the Cremo shaving cream. I found that not cleaning the razor during the shave seemed to avoid nicks because it helped the lubrication. The price of these cartridges does not make for a good value compared to other brands. These are the best razors I have ever used. I used to use the Gillette razor and the shave cream. Both the Cremo shave cream with the Cremo razors give an absolutely great shave. No razor burns. The razors itself last a lot longer than any other razor. Well worth the money. The handle for the razor is heavier so you just let it slide down your face with a great close shave. ... show more
