Gorgeous!!! I’m so sad about these skates. They are stunning and exactly what I was looking for. They are so stylish and I love the retro labels on them. I love the whole retro look. And they are so smooth you feel like you are gliding. They are kinda like riding a long board except attached to your feet. I haven’t skated since I was a kid and I’m not very good but wanted to get back into it. I initially fell in love with the Crazy Skates Evoke but they are wayyyy to expensive for a beginner like me. I’m not sure if I will even have the time to get a good use out of them. I just wanted to have fun and them being close to $300 was not a smart move for me. So when I found the retro style I fell even more madly in love and it was the price range that fit me. It all would have been perfect if they’d fit me! I’m an 8.5 and they are just slightly too small for me and crush my toes. I wish they were just a few centimeters bigger. I think if you’re an 8 in women’s you’ll be fine, but that’s the cut off. I pray they make these in bigger sizes, or significantly lower the price of the evoke. I’m so sad but I will unfortunately have to return these. I’m afraid I will damage my feet in the long run if I deal with how small they are. ... show more

UPDATE: After skating in these about 5 months, I went to adjust the tongue after I put the skates on and it RIPPED IN TWO PIECES! I'm very careful with my skates and take good care of them. I own at least 5 pair of skates and I've never experienced this. Reached out to company to see if they would replace or repair. Will update review when I hear back. I really liked these skates as they were so comfortable and responsive. Just didn't hold up well. I hope Crazy Skates will make right. I've been using this skate for a couple of months and it's holding up well. I skate about 12-15 hours a week outdoors and haven't made any changes to the skate. I find it to be extremely comfortable as is--no break in time was needed. The only thing I dislike about the skate was how heavy it is, but I quickly got accustomed to it. The wheels are perfectly suitable for outdoor skating, but are a bit too sticky for indoors imo. I'd say this is a good starter skate and would be good for people with wider feet. I wear a woman's size 7 tennis shoe and agree with the other reviewer that a woman's size 8 is probably the cut off size for this skate. ... show more

I liked these skates at first. They fit wide feet, however, they were a little too wide inside and I felt like my foot was swimming inside. When trying to turn after a couple of hours of use my toes would cramp because I felt like my toes were trying to grab the bottom of it to have more control to turn. The base of the wheels were a bit wide for my taste, making it hard to control, however my daughter, a more advanced skater, didn't seem to mind that. After less than 2 months of use, the lip of the one of the boots ripped off when my daughter was pulling the boot on. If that hadn't happened, I might have given these a higher rating. ... show more

We bought these skates for our 8 year old granddaughter who lives overseas. She absolutely loved them and was skating through the halls in her building Christmas Day. Her mom said they were very well made and fit our granddaughter perfectly. Well made skates just like the kind you would get from a roller rink. Sizing is great, smooth bearings, tight trucks. Definitely something you would hold onto for generations. My only complaint is nowhere on the product does it state where they where made. If I produced a quality product like this I would let everyone know where it was manufactured. ... show more
