When I first had kids, someone gave me the advice that if your kid is having a rough day, just add water. It’s some of the best parenting advice I’ve ever been given. I just had baby number four and I have found that toys that have a water element get played with way more than other toys. These scribble scrubbies offer the water element as well as the creative element of designing. I love it when I overhear my kids talking to them telling the scrubbies not to worry because they will get them all cleaned up! Gift for my 8 year old daughter but her younger brother who is 5 loves them too! The market washes off easily and the animals are so cute. It doesn't make too much a mess either, although we put a little newspaper down. The ears on the bunny are just a bit fragile but my daughter is careful with them, otherwise most of the other animals that you can get are pretty durable. She loves being able to color them just how she wants. It seems to be a good toy that she pulls out from time to time but doesn't get bored doing them. My daughter is 8 years old and very physically active. She shows little interest in toys in general. The things she loves are the classics like Play-doh and Legos. We'll these Scrible Scrubbie Pets made the grade. She received her first two pets at Christmas and spent most of Christmas day decorating and redecorating them. She has played with them at least weekly since then and for her, that's really high praise. The Easter bunny brought her a new set and she was so happy. She loves to take them in the bath tub. The only thing I don't like is that they don't offer replacement pens. She requested more colors and I have been unable to find any. ... show more

Bought this as a stocking stuffer for my 4 yr old daughter. She loves to draw/paint so I figured these would be great since she can wash and recolor them. And, she loves them! Keeps her occupied for more than 10 minutes (like an eternity in toddler time) so I love them too.

We own many Scrubbies, and have not had any issues with them. This pair of adorable cats, however, began shedding their "fur" flocking the first day, just from using the included brush. None of our other Scrubbies have had this happen. The flocking just started peeling off. I contacted Crayola regarding this, as these 2 cats seem to be defective. They asked that I send them in and sent me compensation to replace them. Maybe it was just this package, but I suspect there may be a problem with these 2 cats, so we haven't bought them again. Hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. My 5 year old was so sad to give up her new kitties. ... show more
