Solid, stylish, and far more affordable than the OEM shift knob. Installation is very straightforward, but keep in mind that the knob isn't keyed, so hold it steady while tightening it. Also, install the shifter cap two screws at a time, torquing them down equally so that the cap seats all the way. This product is described as fitting the Dodge Dart but it will also fit the second generation Jeep Compass with a manual transmission. The stock shift knob is pure trash! This knob is very nice and is well made. It will never wear out or look bad like the stock one. It’s easier to pop the top cap off, the one with the shift pattern on the original knob and remove the 10mm bolt then to follow their instructions of prying the knob in half. I totally recommend this shift knob. I should have picked this up years ago. ... show more

It's a good fit and the quality better than alot of other shift knobs and way easier to switch out with the top cap access. A couple things make sure you get a lock washer it will loosen and spin. Watch out when shifting in reverse the lockout will pinch your fingers between knob and lockout, gap is more then original knob. ... show more

The item came ontime and included everything in the description. The installation was easy with a perfect fit and it clears the reverse pull lever just fine on my 2014 Dodge Dart 6sp manual. The weight and feel of the shift knob is a improvement over the stock OME knob. Comfortable during shifting and reversing. I recommend saving the nut to the original shift knob to secure the CravenSpeed shift knob in its place. ... show more

This is a true quality product installed easily and although the Fiat knob is weighted it's not as much as the Cravenspeed. It looks so nice on the car. It seems the installation for the 500X & perhaps Jeep Renegade also differ from the Dodge Dart I have included instructions below: Instructions for Fiat 500X 1) Pry off plastic tab pattern cover gently (can be lifted with a thin tool or exacto knife) it is only the small piece on top that has the pattern printed on it. 2) Remove the 10mm bolt below the cover with socket 3) OEM shift ball will simply now lift off shaft, The OEM ball is weighted but not as much as the Cravenspeed. 4) Place Cravenspeed knob on shaft and align screw holes for proper cover placement 5) Replace original 10mm bolt & tighten down 6) Attach Cravenspeed cover and screw down with included allen key & screws. ... show more

Everything about the product itself is great. It's heavy and pretty and all that good stuff. There was a tiny bit of rust on the steel, just knocked that off in 30 seconds with some 2000 grit. The stock nut on the Dodge Dart is this god awful washer-nut combo. So when you tighten it, it spins the knob, and makes it very difficult to put it on straight. Do yourself a favor, and buy a washer AND a nut. ... show more
