Got this as a gift for my niece and nephew. They loved it. It was a little complicated at first to figure out as they are ages eight and 11, respectively. However, once they caught on, they played it nonstop.

    • Incredibly fun and full of personality, but isn't exactly for everyone.

This game is not for everyone, and that is clear once you start playing on medium difficulty. Yes there are items that help give you an advantage, but for the most part, you'll need raw skill to compete against the ai, and much more so online. If that's fine for you, this game is fantastic, i spent almost 50 hours alone grasping the mechanics to a peak, and it is an absolutely thrilling game, topped off with fantastic characters ranging from classic crash, post naughty dog era, and even crossover characters such as spyro. Grand prixes are also a great factor in giving the game a ton of replay value, such as adding extra tracks and new items if you complete all the challenges required. Some even incentivize that you learn the game in order to complete them. That said, what keeps this game from being perfect is the faulty online. When it works, it works very well. Howrver, 50% of the time you'll end up having someone disconnect and disband the lobby. The game also has snuck in microtransactions, but they are entirely cosmetic, and the stuff is relatively easy to obtain anyway (provided you do play consistently online). ... show more
