So I tried to be cheap and use my kid's pencil sharpener and that did not go well. I kept on breaking the eye pencil. I finally gave in and bought this and so far it has worked well. After getting the hang of it, I think i can do it without breaking the pencil.

I've used tweezerman sharpeners for years and my last one broke so I went in search of a replacement. I couldn't find one just like it anywhere so I picked this instead. This one actually sharpens even better without destroying my soft eyebrow pencils. I love that it has a built in pick to make it easy to clean out. (Haven't needed to do that yet but my old sharpener sure could have used one because my pencils were always breaking in it!) It also has a cover which keeps the shavings inside until I'm ready to empty it, which is a must for any sharpener I buy. The price on this was great as well. Highly recommended. ... show more

I bought this to sharpen my makeup pencils and it works well. I chose it because it has a cover. The only drawback is that although it has a cover, the sharpener itself is open so the shavings still fall out.
