My husband is on home dialysis, and spends 10+ hours per day laying in bed while dialyzing. He does sleep through part of it, but still spends several hours laying or sitting on the bed before going to sleep. Our bedroom is too small for him to have an end table on his side of the bed, and we have tried several trays and bedside tables for him to put his beverage and whatever on, but none of them have met with 100% approval from him. That all changed when I ordered this oversize couch table for him. The first thing I noticed is how heavy it is. Not heavy as in hard to manage, but heavy as in very high quality materials went into the construction of it. The bamboo is nice and thick, it looks like it would withstand quite a beating without breaking, which makes it the perfect table for a restless man who sometimes feels tied to the bed while he is dialyzing. The bottom of the table has a heavy coat of silicon that makes it stick very firmly to the bed, it doesn’t move at all unless we move it. I can plop down on the side of the bed and it doesn’t move at all. It is also large enough to hold snacks, remotes, his iPad, and phone, and whatever else he is playing with at the time. I have included several photos, two of them with some of his stuff on it. He had the stabilizer bar on the table at that point, and had it between two cushions to see if it would move even when sitting on something that is not particularly stable. It passed with flying colors, it didn’t move at all while sitting on the cushions. Because of that, he moved it to the bed, and it was just as stable that way, his water glass never tipped or spilled. He of course moved it to a bedside table when he went to sleep because he tosses and turns at night, and nothing like that can withstand being rolled on while asleep. The finish is beautiful, this is the most beautiful tray I have ever seen, all the parts are even and sturdily attached, and the stabilizer bar has metal parts where it attaches to the table, and the table end of it also has metal parts. This thing is not going to break easily, it will take quite a beating. I expect to have this for many years, and would definitely buy it again. It is a very good value for the money, I highly recommend it for anyone who needs something to put their stuff on next to them on a couch or bed.

This is a wonderful tray table to be used on any surface or on a couch. The bamboo wood is high quality & well made. It's smooth all the seams come together nicely & the corners are even. The surface is sleek making it easy to clean & wipe up spills. The brown color looks elegant & high end. The tray is also heavier than I thought it was going to be so it's durable & will last a long time. There is small little silicone grippies on the bottom to prevent the tray from sliding on surfaces. The piece that slides between the cushions of a couch can be configured three different ways. The piece slides into the slots easily & can be easily taken out. Perfect to keep the tray from tilting to one side & spilling the contents when people are shifting on a couch. The variation in shapes of the slots make it great for serving food or organizing living room items like remote controls & other electronic devices. At first glance $42.99 seems a little on the price end for a tray table, but this one is versatile & made to last.

Sturdy & Convenient

I am genuinely impressed with this product. I could tell that a lot of thought went into the overall design and quality. The material feels sturdy, durable, and well made, and it does not have that cheap or flimsy feeling that some similar products have. The wood finish is especially most beautiful. The adjustable parts are easy to use and feel secure once they are locked into place, which makes the product feel stable and dependable during use. It is lightweight enough to move around without struggling, but it still feels strong enough for regular everyday use. The surface area is a very useful size and gives me enough room without making the entire product feel bulky or oversized. I also like the added compartments and sections because they make it easier to keep smaller items organized and within reach. Overall, this product is attractive, functional, versatile, and very convenient to have around the house. It combines a nice appearance with practical features, which is not always easy to find. I can see myself using this regularly for a long time. For the price, I think the quality and usefulness are excellent. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for something sturdy, easy to use, space-saving, attractive, and dependable.

Large versatile doesn’t move

This is a large wooden tray that goes on your sofa. It is set up so that it has a piece that goes down in the crack of your couch or chair so it stays secure and doesn’t move. It also has a plastic grippy backing on it that keeps it from moving. I like that the attachment is done with metal and it can go in one of three positions or you can leave the peace out completely underneath. The top wood finish is slippery to make it water resistant. I would probably put something in the bottom of the compartments to absorb liquid and make it so things don’t slide around as much. But it is really nice that it is fairly waterproof. The square holes are nice because they have notches in them so that you can put a handle of a cup. There’s also a slot for something thin like a tablet if you’re watching a movie. This also makes a really nice craft box. It is something you can put on the chair next to you watch a video or a tutorial and still be able to make something.

Finally, a place for my drink when I sit on the couch!

When I sit next to my husband to watch TV, I can’t comfortably reach the coffee table or end table. This tray puts my drink right beside me, and it holds the large cups that don’t fit in our sofa’s built-in cup holders. The insert can be attached in three positions. I put it at one end so most of the tray rests over the other cushion, and it feels stable there. I’ve also used the compartments for my phone and papers, and my granddaughter has used the tray for paper and crayons. My one difficulty is that the insert fits tightly between my sofa cushions, so it takes some effort to push in and pull out. I don’t know whether that’s due to the material of my sofa or how tight the cushions are. I love having my drink within reach!

Really great couch tray

We recently ordered new living room furniture, so when I saw this little table/tray insert, I snapped it up as part of the new decor. I'm so glad I did! It's very well made. It's heavy, and it has a no-slip cover on the bottom of the tray. It doesn't budge, whether it's on a table or on a couch. The added 'fin' insert on the bottom is easy to install, and it provides added stability by sliding between couch cushions. I like that you can pick one of three slots to suit how you wish to position the table. The dividers are perfect - the slots make total sense for mug handles - really a thoughtful design. I tried it with several different mugs and they all worked with this design. I often sit and sew in front of a movie; this tray is perfect for scissors, thread and other supplies for whatever project I'm working on, and I love that I can also have a cup of coffee or some snacks even if I'm not right next to the end table. I really love this couch tray.

Excellent Sofa Tray!

This is a really nice bamboo sofa tray and I am already using it much more than expected(!) like every day haha. The tray has a removable insert that fits between your sofa cushions or you can use it without and place it anywhere you'd like. The bottom-side has a very 'grip-y' rubberized mat that keeps the tray from moving around which is especially helpful if you have a mug of coffee for example - i.e. to keep things from spilling. There are two mug slots and the side of each has a small dip where you can seat the handle of your mug to help stablize it. The main tray section is large enough to hold t.v. snacks, your ipad, or in my case my breakfast(!) There is also a long slot in the back for holding your t.v. controller, phone, or other items. This thing is so handy! I love it!

Nice alternative to end/coffee tables

I went for the standard size, which I think is perfect--the large would have been excessive I think. The piece feels sturdy (not flimsy or shifting). My one gripe about the construction of it is that the cross section pieces on mine are not squared off--they appear to have been assembled slightly off-kilter. Still sturdy, but catches my eye when I look at is as being off, hence the one star removed. I particularly enjoy the non-slip backing material on the bottom. I think a good addition would be having some of that same material lining the bottom of the compartments up top so cups and such don't slide, but I can add my own! I also like that the bottom wing piece is removable AND can be positioned in three spots to let the tray be positioned in a way that works best for your setup.
