Every year on december 1st our elf Barnaby brings with him an early Christmas gift. Its always usually something that needs to be replaced or they currently need. We had a play kitchen but about a month ago my youngest son was able to break the door of the refrigerator part (mostly because it was a hand me down we had for years and the bolts and screws were loose everywhere)- its always had the shelves missing in the fridge and the oven so it didn’t provide as much play space and storage either. My boys loved this kitchen but it had seen better days and my husband decided it was time to donate. My boys were not too happy with this decision and kept saying they missed their kitchen and maybe santa could bring them one. I started looking. I knew I wanted wood and a dark espresso color to match our other furniture (I am NOT a fan of the cheese plastic variety or bright kid colors in the main living area). However I was surprised to see how expensive these play kitchens were (we bought our last one for $35 at a garage sale afterall). I saw this one and it was much better priced than the name brand ones and there are some features like the extra shelving and the curtains and towel rack on the side that I like more. In fact this kitchen has ample amount of storage and not only fits all my childrens play food but other toys as well like their magnets and play money. Having a nice looking play piece that also doubles for storage is ideal. It took my husband about 2 hours to put this together and it feels solid- all the hinges are tight and I think the knobs and doors will take some rough abuse from the baby. You can’t even imagine how excited they were to wake up and see this downstairs with their elf enjoying a bubble bath in the sink! Priceless! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. As Grandparents, we purchased this for our 2 granddaughters as Christmas gift, ages 4 and 2 years old, they absolutely love it and we've been playing and cooking all day long. It comes with accessories 2 pots, 2 Seasoning bottles, 3 knives and forks, 3 hooks to put the utensils, also has a towel holder on the side, is very well crafted with durable MDF, The door of the fridge is a blackboard so they can draw on it, the water dispenser makes a realistic sound of water flowing, has lots of storage space, very lovely toy, that is so entertaining and amazing, it measures 32.5"x 12.5"x 31.5" They especially love the icecube dispenser. We are happy that it was so easy to put together, our son helped us with the assembly, instructions were clear and precise and all the pieces were in the package. Kitchen is really sturdy and looks nice . Once it's all together it feels extremely solid. instructions are very clear you just have to make sure you look at the pictures correctly to make sure you've got the holes in the correct spot.

Firstly, I want to say the finished product of this is beautiful. What we didn't find beautiful was how it came in 1000 pieces and the box was extremely heavy. If you're looking to test a marriage look no further in this building project. My husband and I decided to start this at 7 at night after work and immediately regretted it. Two and half hours later, laughing and saying how our daughter better appreciate this, and how we probably could have actually built a real kitchen faster, we got it together. Although my daughter has yet to acknowledge it after the hard work we put in, the final product is a testament of how we didn't kill each other putting this together. In time we hope this won't end up as kindling for a fire for how much time it took us. For now, this beautiful, but frustratingly built kitchen will take residence in our home. ... show more

I bought this kitchen play set for my three years old niece for her birthday. She love it. It’s pretty easy to assemble. It has all you need as a real kitchen. It came with pan and pot etc. I bought a additional food set for her, she enjoyed it every day and play with it for hours. She like to pretend play and invite her friends come to play with her. It’s very sturdy, excellent quality. It been also a year, it still in excellent conditions. Total recommend and plus it’s one of the best gifts I ever get for kids!! ... show more

Many people mentioned how awful the directions, and I don’t want to beat a dead horse. However I don’t think people explained why the directions were so bad. First off nothing was labeled, the pre drilled holes didn’t line up, the pictures were awful, and the kit was missing pieces. The kit was also missing the sink… that’s frustrating. I made contact with the company and they didn’t have that as a spare part. They gave me some money off, but the sink is a main component of the kitchen set. I’m not really sure how that goes missing… but whatever it’s a Christmas present for my son and my husband and his brother (who is literally a mechanical engineer) several hours to put together so I decide to keep it and deal with the lack of sink. However we have had this put together for two weeks and it’s already started to tear apart. The freezer door just fell off of the main body, the cardboard ripped. We have six children and the previous kitchen set we gave away after baby number five outgrew it, it lasted through five kids. This current one hasn’t lasted through one child, for more than two weeks. I don’t know how this kitchen set got such good reviews, unless they are paying people to take the bad reviews down. We are keeping it, mainly because how am I supposed to send it back? But for my sons birthday we will be buying one of higher quality. I would not recommend or buy again, unless you hate the parents of who you are gifting it to. Hours of torture putting it together would be great revenge for your enemies. ... show more
