It’s a great bookcase to save rooms. My old bookcase only can hold few books and it’s not easy to organize. My daughter loves it very much; she jumps on the cushion back and forth to have fun. She doesn’t know how to sit on with her feet on the other side but she will learn eventually. The size is great for my daughter and it’s stable. As with all furniture that you have to assemble, there were a few hiccups because the cam lock screws on the angled boards weren't adjusted correctly for the angle. They wouldn't secure correctly, so my husband had to mess with it for a long time to get it all together. I added some carpet tape to the cushions so they don't keep falling off and sliding around. The grey color of the cushions isn't the most fashionable look with the dark brown wood so that is the other reason it lost a star. So, I take one star away for those reasons. Other than that I love the way it looks. It holds all of his books, even the really big books, and my 3 year old does like sitting and playing or reading on the reading nook. It fit really nicely in a small bedroom and I will use it in my elementary classroom since I am a teacher if we don't need it in my child's room anymore one day. ... show more

    • More for kids, not toddlers

First off, this was quite a pain to put together. The directions pictographs weren’t quite accurate which led me to take it apart and reassemble, only to realize I had it right the first time. Toward the end, when you put the top shelving into the slanted portion of the seat, the screws are straight but need to be angled to the slant of the seat to work. I almost broke it at this point but was able to literally slam it into place. My son is 20/21 months and I thought this would be a nice little place for him to sit but instead he loves to climb it. Not the manufacturer’s fault by any means, however, the corners are SO sharp. It will be nice for him when he’s older but I wouldn’t recommend it for an explorative toddler. Other than that it’s honestly just ok. The finish on it is that weird cheap plasticy stuff that keeps your fingerprints there after you touch it. I’m also going to get some sort of Velcro or grips to hold the cushions in place on the seat - it slips and slides everywhere. ... show more

This bookshelf book is perfect! It’s true to size, it’s very stable and has so much storage! My daughter loves cuddling up in it and reading. I’m not sure the weight limit but it held me up when I sat on it and I weigh 120lbs! The only downside is the cushions slide. But that’s easily fixed with some alien tape! ... show more
