Tired of spending crazy money at the laundromat while at the family cabin for 6 months/year, or filling up my car with dirty laundry when I have to go home periodically, I decided to try out this portable washer/spinner. So glad I did!! In the few weeks I've been using it, it has paid for itself. Honestly I like it better than my big machine at home. It's fun and easy to use, gets my clothes cleaner and fresher smelling in a much shorter time, uses less water/energy/soap as well. I have elderly dogs and use "dog towels" which need frequent washing. I can bring less clothing to the cabin as I can run a small load anytime. I purchased a drying rack from Amazon a few years ago. I set it up on a sunny deck and after spinning (w/no wrinkles like in my big machine at home) items dry in about an hour. I use my new washer in an old tub (see pic). A small hose attached to tub faucet fills, and it drains into tub drain w/attached drain hose, works perfectly. I didn't need to raise up the machine (which is nearly impossible anyway) and yes a little water gets under machine when draining, but it is definitely not an issue. I love this little machine. It saves hours and many dollars at the laundromat. I have a few tips: dont use too much soap, use liquid as the pods are gonna be too much soap for any load that fits, ,and while you can rinse on the wash side after washing and draining, just filling up again w/fresh water, I have found that using minimal soap, sufficient water and not too many items per load, AND adding a little liquid water softener right in w/the soap during the wash cycle, cleans and softens without the need of rinsing at all..as long as items aren't excessively dirty. If you are careful with the lint holder, empty after each load, let it dry and carefully snap it back in, it will last and function well. I leave the tops open to dry machine after using. Press the vented plastic piece onto the wet clothes on spinner side and it takes about a minute to spin water out. I recommend not overloading either side. It's just me and my dogs. This is not designed for use by a large family, maybe just as a backup. All said, it's an amazing little machine and I believe I chose the best one at the best price! ... show more

  • Get you one - you won't regret!
Color: Grey+White
The COSTWAY Portable Washing Machine is a game-changer for apartments with no in-unit washers. This machine was delivered timely and securely packed. I can typically wash about a week's worth of work shirts or dresses and underwear in a 1-2 load. This machine packs a lot of power and can handle various types of fabrics - I've washed towels, throw blankets, bed sheets, womens jeans, etc., and the machine handles it all. The spinner is excellent, thin to medium weight fabrics clothes come out about 80% dry - hang it up in a well ventilated spaced and their fully dry in about an hour. This is actually my second time purchasing this machine for myself - I first purchased it early on during the pandemic as my local laundry compiled with social distancing guidelines which made it challenging to find a time when they were not a the reduced capacity limits. Having the washer saved me time, money and helped me reduce potential exposure during a time of uncertainty. Even after business hours return to pre pandemic norms, I rarely returned to my local laundromat - only when necessary to wash comforters, sofa cushion covers, large quilts, and blankets. I also purchased this machine for my sister as a baby-shower gift. Came in clutch for those diaper blowout and projectile spit up moments. The reason I'm purchasing this for the second time for myself is strictly due to user error. PSA: If using this in the bathtub do double check to make sure that your drain is not stopped, as too much water under the machine will damage the motor. Without the user error I'm sure this machine would have worked well for several more years - very durable product. It's compact size is great for my apartment. Cons: It's not a quiet machine. While you do want to make sure that this is sitting on a flat surface, I recommend using gym mat underneath to reduce the sound. Spinner basket has about half the capacity of the washer so you may have multiple spin cycles per load. The inlet hose that comes with the machine is pretty filmsy and not compatible with my sink - I use a handheld shower head to fill it up. ... show more

  • Small but mighty!!!
Color: Grey+White
The mighty machine that could! I got this as i would fight my roommate for the washer and dryer and this fits so perfectly in my tub and in my closet! I feel 15 mins is nothing but it really does feel clean and affective! I feel its great for those small loads that might be to small for a normal washer but enough for a good mid medium load. Wish the spinn cycle could be a bittttttt bigger but honestly it finishes so fast that you honestly don’t have to worry much. Great buy and investment for those looking for something small and compact but effective! ... show more

  • My primary washing machine
Color: Grey+White
I bought this after I bought my first house. It was built in 1900 and quite bare-bones. One thing my house doesn't have: washer/dryer hookups. I'm broke now, so I looked for an alternative to the very expensive laundromats in my area. I've been using this as my primary washing machine since July and have avoided going totally insane. How I use it: The fill hose it comes with is extremely short, and does not fit any of my fixtures. I threw it out. I just fill it with a detachable showerhead with lukewarm or cold water. I add a small amount of liquid detergent, maybe 2tbsp. I can wash about half of my walmart clothes drying rack worth of stuff at once. I have even washed my bedsheets in here. The only thing I have to take in to the laundromats are really heavy items and blankets. If you overload it, you'll know - nothing moves. I set it to "normal" and the max amount of time, then drain once it stops. I drain it into my shower. Then I refill with fresh water and spin for 1/2 the time to rinse. Drain. The spinner basket works very well - better than any "real" washer I've ever used. It holds 1 pair of pants, or 3 shirts at once. Then I hang to dry. Pros: -I pay almost nothing to do laundry. My water bill is a flat rate so just the electric usage and a miniscule amount of detergent. - The agitation from the washer does actually clean my clothes very well. -It is lightweight. I can carry it around (empty) on my own. However, i built a cart with 2x4s and wheels and just push it around. -It's super easy to use. A little involved and takes up more active time, but a toddler could figure this out. -The spinner works better than a real washer. -Drains fast -Still going strong after 6ish months and it's paid for itself several times in quarters saved. -safety, the spinner stops instantly if you open the lid while it is moving. Cons: -you can't just push "start," it does require using your hands -clothes get linty, but its easy to dust off -takes multiple loads to wash a reasonable amount of clothes -cannot wash very heavy or bulky items (think coats, comforters, etc.) -a bit noisy, but nothing super obnoxious. -The spinner basket goes off balance pretty easily, so you need to put things in pretty strategically. Overall, I love this thing. I kind of prefer it to a modern HE machine. It's obviously no SpeedQueen, but for someone who doesn't have a lot of money, its perfect. If this one breaks I will probably purchase another. ... show more

  • A wonderful step up from hand washing
Color: Blue + White
I have been washing clothes by hand for decades. I would only use laundry facilities when washing bulky or heavy items. Everything else I washed in a bucket with a plunger-looking thingy (that I also bought on Amazon). I do not find hand washing to be onerous. On the contrary, most of the wash time is soak time. But as I have been doing laundry this way for decades, over the years, I noticed that I had less strength in my hands, wrists, and arms, and wringing out the clothes was difficult. I would end up draping dripping clothes on my drying rack. It was a mess. Enter this washing machine. Now, my mom and grandma had portable Hoover washing machines in the 70’s and 80’s that they rolled up to the kitchen sink. They were heavy beasts made of metal and had thick, rubber hoses that actually could fit on a faucet. This is not those. This is a plastic made-in-China thing with thin plastic hoses that could never in a million years fit on any American faucet. If you think this thing is a replacement for a “real” washing machine, you’d be wrong. It’s not even a replacement for the old-timey portable washing machines. What this thing is is an easier way to hand wash. If you think of it this way, you’ll never be disappointed. It’s very light, which is good. I pick it up easily and put it in my tub. The inlet hose is a joke, so I fill a bucket and pour the water in the washer that way. Others have rigged up funnels on their shower head. You’ll figure something out. I don’t find that to be much of a pain; after all, I’m used to doing laundry by hand, so this is similar enough that I’m not bothered. If you’re used to a large automatic washer where you throw the clothes in, set it, and walk away for a half hour or more, this will seem to be a pain in the butt. But coming from hand washing, it’s fine. The best part of this is the spinner. It gets so much water out of my clothes that they are barely damp when I hang them on my drying rack. No more wringing! That is the best part. Heck, I wouldn’t mind washing clothes by hand in my bucket and just using the spinner function to get the water out. Don’t use too much detergent. Most people have that problem when using any kind of washer. You don’t need tons of suds. Also, keep the water in the tub while spinning. You need the weight. Drain it after you’re done using the spinner. In conclusion, if you think you’re getting a smaller, lighter version of an automatic washing machine, you’ll be disappointed. But if you want something a step up from hand washing, then this is the thing for you. You’ll love it! No more wringing! ... show more

  • So far very pleased
Color: Grey+White
Just received my washer today. Washed 2 loads so far. I really like it. It's nice to have the convenience to wash at home, and be able to do other things (like cook) at the same time. I live in an apartment with no hook ups. My current set up for this is bucket filling, and draining into the toilet. I have the washer elevated on a storage tote for draining purposes (will upgrade to a wire shelf soon to replace the tote). I rubber banded a small piece of mesh fabric onto the end of the drain tube to catch extra lint. I had considered placing the washer in the bathtub, but the cord is too short and would require an extension cord. Also the washer is a little heavier than I expected, so I prefer to keep it in a set location so I don't have to keep moving it. Right now it's in my half bathroom which I don't use. The cleaning power seems sufficient so far, as long as you don't overload the machine. I tried to use as little detergent as possible, so I only have to do one rinse cycle. The spinning function works very well, and gets the clothes like 80% dry (maybe more if I had set it to 5 mins instead of 3 mins). Overall I am pleased, my only concern is the longevity of the machine. It's all plastic, so I hope I don't start seeing cracks/broken parts anytime soon. I will try to take care of it so hopefully it lasts a few years at least. ... show more

  • Great machine, you can control how you wash things. Saves money
Color: Blue + White
I previously had a Panda brand washer that was just like this machine, from about 10 years ago. I really missed it. Over the holiday my regular washing machine started to deliver an error message and stopped working. We can't get our repair done with the warranty company for another 3 weeks so I bought this excitedly, as we accumulate laundry too quickly that an effective backup plan was required. I knew exactly the capability these machines have and upon receipt, I quickly put this into the bathtub and started using it and was reminded of the washing sound and this machine proved to be more stronger than I remember. This is definitely a different brand but nonetheless, is better than what I had before. Things wash clean and quick. This holds water well without a constant concern of it filling the areas that hold the electric components like my old machine had. The spin side is amazing, you only need to spin max for 2 minutes and it's as good my household washing machine. Great to save money. I would have spent so much more at a Laundromat. It does take a bit more time if you're anal like me and need to rinse twice but you see the water get clear with each wash, even washing better than my standard machine. I am using this and enjoying it. Will likely still use it after my standard washing machine gets repaired. ... show more

  • Late, Works Well
Color: Blue + White
Don’t count on it arriving in time. Apparently, the two day delivery meant two days before it was shipped. On the day it should have arrived, I got a notice saying sorry it was delayed and would be delivered “by” a date seven days in the future. Fortunately, it arrived two days later. It also went on sale the day after I purchased it, a day before they shipped it. I will not use this company again. The product itself is mostly as described. I use it to wash my aprons I use making pottery. It washed the clay out of my aprons leaving a small bit of residue. I washed, drained and washed again to rinse. You have to manually fill and drain each time. The spinner basket is very small and for a full wash load, you will have separate the wash and spin it in multiply loads. It does a good job getting the water out. If you want to rinse and spin, you have to take the fill hose and attach it to the spin side and fill. When the spinner door is open the spinning stops. There are timers for the wash and spin, they do not ding. I have mine on the deck and fill it with the water hose. The drain line is off the deck and works well. I do not use soap for my aprons so no damage to the ecology. Just keep in mind that the drain hose has to go below the washer meaning if you use it inside you will need a table to elevate it above whatever you drain into. The vibration was not terrible but it did move a little during the spin. I also used it to rinse out a pair of jeans that I had clay on them. It did a good job and they fit in the spinner (I am small). Lastly, it looks like a child’s playhouse toy. Kind of cute. I’m not sure how durable it will be. It definitely will not work for family laundry, but might be great for a single person. Value for money? There are cheaper ones and I definitely over paid. Would I buy it again, yes, but not from this company. UPDATE- I added a star to my reviews because the performance of this little washer has far surpassed my expectations. I have washed a ful load in the washer and it washed them well. The only downside was they were tangled in a swirl in the middle of the washer at completion. The BIG downside is that I had to divided them into 3 loads for the spin dry basket. On a positive note, it spins them well. The only vibration is when it slows down at the end of the cycle. You have to manually add water through the hose for the spin cycle (I do briefly for a rinse) or you can spin with no water. Also, the lint filter in the washer does a nice job catching pet hair, lint and small particles. ... show more
