I bought this after I bought my first house. It was built in 1900 and quite bare-bones. One thing my house doesn't have: washer/dryer hookups. I'm broke now, so I looked for an alternative to the very expensive laundromats in my area. I've been using this as my primary washing machine since July and have avoided going totally insane. How I use it: The fill hose it comes with is extremely short, and does not fit any of my fixtures. I threw it out. I just fill it with a detachable showerhead with lukewarm or cold water. I add a small amount of liquid detergent, maybe 2tbsp. I can wash about half of my walmart clothes drying rack worth of stuff at once. I have even washed my bedsheets in here. The only thing I have to take in to the laundromats are really heavy items and blankets. If you overload it, you'll know - nothing moves. I set it to "normal" and the max amount of time, then drain once it stops. I drain it into my shower. Then I refill with fresh water and spin for 1/2 the time to rinse. Drain. The spinner basket works very well - better than any "real" washer I've ever used. It holds 1 pair of pants, or 3 shirts at once. Then I hang to dry. Pros: -I pay almost nothing to do laundry. My water bill is a flat rate so just the electric usage and a miniscule amount of detergent. - The agitation from the washer does actually clean my clothes very well. -It is lightweight. I can carry it around (empty) on my own. However, i built a cart with 2x4s and wheels and just push it around. -It's super easy to use. A little involved and takes up more active time, but a toddler could figure this out. -The spinner works better than a real washer. -Drains fast -Still going strong after 6ish months and it's paid for itself several times in quarters saved. -safety, the spinner stops instantly if you open the lid while it is moving. Cons: -you can't just push "start," it does require using your hands -clothes get linty, but its easy to dust off -takes multiple loads to wash a reasonable amount of clothes -cannot wash very heavy or bulky items (think coats, comforters, etc.) -a bit noisy, but nothing super obnoxious. -The spinner basket goes off balance pretty easily, so you need to put things in pretty strategically. Overall, I love this thing. I kind of prefer it to a modern HE machine. It's obviously no SpeedQueen, but for someone who doesn't have a lot of money, its perfect. If this one breaks I will probably purchase another.

This is a much more powerful washer than expected. It cleans the clothes well. I have used this for a few days and no complaints. When doing jeans limit to 2 pair because they will twist up into a tight knot. The agitation is much stronger than in the large regular washing machine. When empty it is lightweight but bulky. Still good for an apartment or RV. Also a great way to save water because it uses much less than a regular washer.

I’ve had this for some time now. Took a bit to adjust to.. but well worth it. I’m a single mom of three. If you don’t have time then this isn’t it. This is a hands on form of washing but I LOVE IT. I seen other reviews asking about soap residue.. so I’ll help. First off one of the perks is you can see the water run clear. I purchased a metal shelf short enough to lift it right at my tub level and it drains. I will say to buy a drain cover and clean as you go cause the lint trap in the wash is ok but it doesn’t stop it all and you will end up with other issues. The noise level can be a lot to adjust to but as you go you learn levels of water and dryer. Ok.. so to remove the soap it takes a few rounds of water. Personally this is how I do it. First load.. soap (a little goes a long way so I add as I go but majority I add before putting clothes in) baking soda and I run it twice and let sit a few moments then drain. After the washer in draining from the first load. I run my shower head over the clothes. Personally I wouldn’t plug up to the sink even if I could I much rather be able to fill it and rinse things by hand a bit.. then I do another round with baking soda and sometimes a laundry booster or vinegar etc depending on need. I love that I’m able to use way less product and I can utilize natural products. Once I run the second round for the 15 I let soak a few minutes.. drain and then I do a third round of water and I more or less go through with my hands and finish kinda “stirring” the laundry and making sure any soapy residue isn’t left. An drain. ….Yes sometimes you have to do two times with no soap or product for a soft result. I have two laundry racks I do about 3 loads of medium size laundry.. it takes about 2-3 days to do myself, my 3 kids ..teen, elementary and toddler.. and sheets! I did invest in quite a bit to do it sensibly by purchasing a laundry sorter hamper that rolls and a rack/shelf to sit it on that rolls I turn my bathroom into a laundry room for a few days out the month.. bulky items like blankets and towels I take to wash. I save money and really don’t need a lot of detergent. I save a lot of money as a single mom and highly suggest if you’re active and find cleaning grounding or like to hand wash but want to really see the result I think this product is amazing. I thought it was leaking initially and found the water level does best just under the H (to the right of the filter is levels.. hard to see but if to look to the back right hand to the right of the filter it’s there) I like the level just below and I don’t over fill I let the water get to the lowest level with products added and then add clothes as it’s spinning this give me a better eye to see when to stop adding. I like to seperate my children’s clothes from mine.. and things like socks or more dirty clothes have a seperate load for soaking. I love it! It’s really bigger than it seems to me. If you put the clothes in a circle form into the dryer and to the highest level don’t forget the top circle provided push the clothes down turn on hold the dryer while the motion steadies you’ll feel when it smooths out spinning and it makes way lets noise if it’s banging and not spinning smoothly then the clothes need to be adjusted. Again it took about three rounds before I got my own rhythm and adjusted to acceptable noise and not. I plan to get a door mat to go under on the shelf and I keep a towel on the side of the tub in case any slight bumping occurs. My bathroom mats under also help. There will be noise so if you live over people I’d say be mindful my neighbor is pretty cool and he doesn’t mind the noise because it isn’t in a location that bothers him. Anyway hope this helps! For me it’s a win and I got my moneys worth and plan to spend again here if need be in the future. My only wish for this and it doesn’t take from the quality is I wish they had some way to replace hosing or to order from them to do so.. besides that I think they’d serve themselves sealing the edges of the machine but again I only found it to be an issue when the water level was too high. Really nice! I waited forever to finally buy and everytime I wash even just a small load to prevent build up I’m shaking my head cause why did I wait! They responded quick when I had an issue but I resolved it on my own.. however they continued to contact me and ask questions to get a nice idea of what I was referring to it really gave me a good impression of the company. I got the shelf on Amazon as well. I just checked the measurements compared to my tub height.

I'm impressed! For such a lightweight, small machine, it does a great job. I’d give this washing machine 5 stars, but I’ve only used it once so far. The wash basin holds more than I expected and still agitates the clothes nicely. I have one minor issue: during the wash cycle, drops of water run down the left side of the machine. This might be my fault for overfilling the tub—it was filled to about 6 inches below the top. It would be nice if the manufacturer included water level marks inside the tub. The water seeps out where the tub meets the side seam, which could probably be fixed with a small bead of caulk. The spin basin holds only half of what the wash basin does, but that’s okay. The spin side works very well, nearly drying the clothes, and as long as the wet laundry is distributed evenly in the spinner, it runs smoothly without shaking.

I just received it today, and I am worn out from washing one queen sheet. I can only fill the wash tub from buckets which means filling them at the sink, pouring them in the tub filing another bucket, pouring it in, letting it wash, then you have to drain out all the soapy water in order to add clean water to rinse which means having the bucket on the floor lower than the washer so gravity can pull the water out then pouring that down the sink and doing it again and again until all the soapy water is out. That is a lot of weight on backs and shoulders especially if you're older. I thought I was in good shape but after this I'm not sure it's going to work for me. Okay, after you drain the clean water and pour the water into the sink, then you move your washed item to the spin tub which is my favorite thing about this unit. The sheet was nearly dry. Wow. Then leave the hose in the bucket for any water to drain. But I wont be able to do what I hoped I could do because of how hard it is to fill and lift and dump the buckets of water into the wash tub several times, then drain out the soapy water so you can rinse out the soap, lifting more buckets of clean water into the tub and pounring the drained water into your sink. Yeesh. There is no way I can do this more than once a month. I'm active, healthy,and pretty strong for a 73 year old ex athlete, but not enough to lift gallons of water over and over. There is nowhere I can use this at my house to fill it except with buckets. I'm upset about that but if the company would realize or accept what every review on here has already said about attaching the hose to the faucet--they DONT attach in the US at least--and create an actual hose that works and a much longer drain hose, it would help immensely. But hey--for the price and the handwashing I wont have to do amy more, its still better than the laundromat or the dry cleaners.-- June 14th, I have bought an extension for the drain hose to let it drain out my back door. That helps a lot but the hose but wont be able to drain it that way when the cold weather returns. But I have about 5 months to be able to drain it this way and, for that, I am relieved.--July 3rd I now fill it with an 120" long shower head cord from my bathtub around the corner of the wall into the kitchen, and I can still not get the filter box to come out, and I have tried everything I can think of.--One more try. With pliers in my left hand, I pulled to the left and down and it popped out. To get it back in, it needed a gentle tap with my hand.

The COSTWAY Portable Washing Machine is a game-changer for apartments with no in-unit washers. This machine was delivered timely and securely packed. I can typically wash about a week's worth of work shirts or dresses and underwear in a 1-2 load. This machine packs a lot of power and can handle various types of fabrics - I've washed towels, throw blankets, bed sheets, womens jeans, etc., and the machine handles it all. The spinner is excellent, thin to medium weight fabrics clothes come out about 80% dry - hang it up in a well ventilated spaced and their fully dry in about an hour. This is actually my second time purchasing this machine for myself - I first purchased it early on during the pandemic as my local laundry compiled with social distancing guidelines which made it challenging to find a time when they were not a the reduced capacity limits. Having the washer saved me time, money and helped me reduce potential exposure during a time of uncertainty. Even after business hours return to pre pandemic norms, I rarely returned to my local laundromat - only when necessary to wash comforters, sofa cushion covers, large quilts, and blankets. I also purchased this machine for my sister as a baby-shower gift. Came in clutch for those diaper blowout and projectile spit up moments. The reason I'm purchasing this for the second time for myself is strictly due to user error. PSA: If using this in the bathtub do double check to make sure that your drain is not stopped, as too much water under the machine will damage the motor. Without the user error I'm sure this machine would have worked well for several more years - very durable product. It's compact size is great for my apartment. Cons: It's not a quiet machine. While you do want to make sure that this is sitting on a flat surface, I recommend using gym mat underneath to reduce the sound. Spinner basket has about half the capacity of the washer so you may have multiple spin cycles per load. The inlet hose that comes with the machine is pretty filmsy and not compatible with my sink - I use a handheld shower head to fill it up.

This thing is fantastic. My clothes are clean, you control the cycle length yourself, and after the AMAZING spin cycle, I use a drying rack to let them dry. Cheap, easy, efficient. I've done about 25 loads. I love it!

Don’t count on it arriving in time. Apparently, the two day delivery meant two days before it was shipped. On the day it should have arrived, I got a notice saying sorry it was delayed and would be delivered “by” a date seven days in the future. Fortunately, it arrived two days later. It also went on sale the day after I purchased it, a day before they shipped it. I will not use this company again. The product itself is mostly as described. I use it to wash my aprons I use making pottery. It washed the clay out of my aprons leaving a small bit of residue. I washed, drained and washed again to rinse. You have to manually fill and drain each time. The spinner basket is very small and for a full wash load, you will have separate the wash and spin it in multiply loads. It does a good job getting the water out. If you want to rinse and spin, you have to take the fill hose and attach it to the spin side and fill. When the spinner door is open the spinning stops. There are timers for the wash and spin, they do not ding. I have mine on the deck and fill it with the water hose. The drain line is off the deck and works well. I do not use soap for my aprons so no damage to the ecology. Just keep in mind that the drain hose has to go below the washer meaning if you use it inside you will need a table to elevate it above whatever you drain into. The vibration was not terrible but it did move a little during the spin. I also used it to rinse out a pair of jeans that I had clay on them. It did a good job and they fit in the spinner (I am small). Lastly, it looks like a child’s playhouse toy. Kind of cute. I’m not sure how durable it will be. It definitely will not work for family laundry, but might be great for a single person. Value for money? There are cheaper ones and I definitely over paid. Would I buy it again, yes, but not from this company. UPDATE- I added a star to my reviews because the performance of this little washer has far surpassed my expectations. I have washed a ful load in the washer and it washed them well. The only downside was they were tangled in a swirl in the middle of the washer at completion. The BIG downside is that I had to divided them into 3 loads for the spin dry basket. On a positive note, it spins them well. The only vibration is when it slows down at the end of the cycle. You have to manually add water through the hose for the spin cycle (I do briefly for a rinse) or you can spin with no water. Also, the lint filter in the washer does a nice job catching pet hair, lint and small particles.
