  • Super comfortable frames!
Color: Matte Reef/Copper Silver Mirrored Polari... Lens Width: 59 Millimeters
I have a tremendous head (surprise). It’s hard to find well-fitting sunglasses. The Spearo XL are absolutely perfect for me. The 580G lenses are better than ever. Nice case and microfiber cloth. Don’t forget the best warranty.

  • Widest Costa Del Mar frames
Color: Matte Black/Blue Mirrored Polarized-580g Lens Width: 59 Millimeters
These are the widest frames offered by Costa. I have a big noggin and a wide face. I can wear Costa Fisch, Permit, and Reefton Pro. I thought the Permit was the widest frame (140 mm) but the Spearo XL is wider (142 mm). The 580G (glass) is a really good lens. They are not quite as good as they once were (the older ones used to make colors lusher such as greens) but still quite good. If you have a wide face and large noggin, I really recommend these. ... show more

  • Made for boating, but buyer beware, they don't float
Color: Matte Black/Green Mirrored Polarized-580g Lens Width: 59 Millimeters
These are truly amazing sunglasses. I've always purchased cheep sunglasses because I'm a very frugal SOB but as I have gotten older I discovered that the cheep sunglasses just weren't cutting it anymore. I wanted to try a "good" brand with actual glass lenses. These things fit the bill perfectly. I own a boat and know many folks with Costa branded sunglasses who all raved about them. I decided to splurge and get the Spearo XL because I have a large head and thought it would be nice to finally have a pair of sunglasses that weren't designed for a 5'8" man (I'm 6'3"). I have nothing bad to say about the glasses for the month and a half I owned them. Unfortunately I learned something that I didn't read in any of the reviews, they don't float. I had a neck band for the glasses so they wouldn't fall off my face while speeding around the lake on my boat but they doesn't help you when they aren't around your neck. I unfortunately set them down on my bulwark along with my hat and they got accidentally knocked overboard (boat was anchored at the time). I quickly jumped into the water to retrieve them and sadly discovered that they do NOT float. I know that this is totally my fault but no mention of not floating anywhere in the description or the paperwork that came with the glasses, and this brand is known for being a boating brand. After contacting customer service, they were willing to give me a $60 discount on another pair but I'm afraid I can't justify $500 spent on sunglasses in less than 2 months. Again, I take full responsibility that I dropped the glasses into the water, that's on me, the fact that I wasn't aware that they didn't float, that's my problem. If I had known, I would have purchased different neck band that would have floated in the water. ... show more

  • Can scratch easily
Color: Matte Reef/Green Mirrored Polarized-580p Lens Width: 59 Millimeters
Love the glasses. The only little complaint I have is they scratch pretty easy. They fell out of my hand while sitting in my lawn chair acouple feet off the ground and just that little impact scratched the left lense. My fault I know but it didn't take much.

  • Very comfortable shades for everyday wear
Color: Matte Black/Grey Polarized-580p Lens Width: 59 Millimeters
My only dislike I’d the creaking noise they make when you extend the arms to the side. Other than that they’re a great set of shades.

Finally we got the Spearo XL! These fit my massive head perfect! Black frames with the silver lenses is a super clean look. Costa is the only brand I trust my eyes to!

  • Big frame for big heads like mine.
Color: Matte Black/Grey Polarized-580g Lens Width: 59 Millimeters
Frame might be a little too big for my head but great glasses otherwise
