I now have 3 pairs of Costa’s. Fantail Pro in copper silver and green copper mirror and Tuna Alley in green copper mirror. Both lens colors are very close in overall tint and contrast. As far as which to buy I’d tell you to get whatever you like and what is on sale. Definitely go with the 580g lens. Tried my wife’s Coach sunglasses on for the fun of it the other day and they are not even in the same league as these. Had Maui Jim before also and again not even close. Good afternoon ladies and gents, I give this item a 5.0!!! Who doesn't love Costa's. They are my go to for every activity. In fact, I have around 8 pair of sunglasses and 1 pair of prescription glasses. I know, why do I have these many sunglasses? Well, it is because they all have different uses. From my everyday glasses and driving glasses to my camping glasses, hunting glasses, fishing glasses, or needing to read the small print. Costa's should be your go to glasses as well. Let’s break it down from top to bottom. I am an avid backpacker, hiker, camper, scuba diver, just a huge adventurous woman. So, I am always purchasing new equipment. Well, whenever I can afford new things. LoL This product is a GREAT PRICE for what you get and that is a lot. Bag: The bag fits all items appropriately. It’s not heavy at all, actually really light. It fits in your bag perfectly and evenly. Ensuring your Costa's will not ruin. The bag is sturdy and is not easily torn or breakable. This is why it is GREAT for any ADVENTURE!!! Material: The material is amazing. It’s flexible and is easy to take care of. Nothing sticks to it and what I mean is the sand at the beach rolls off, tree limbs from camping have not ripped into it. These are ALL pro's for any adventure seekers. The material is light, flexible, and sturdy which is always a plus. Warranty: Costa Del Mar remains true to their word. If something happens to your glasses, they WILL fix them or replace them. Who could ask for more. In fact, I have had one of my sunglasses for over 5 years. They ended up breaking and since they were discontinued, Costa Del Mar let me pick out a pair of sunglasses and sent them to me at NO COST!!! Replacing a 3 year old pair of Oakley Holbrook XL. I work outdoors and good sunglasses are a must for my job. Polarized are best. I ordered the following through Amazon Wardrobe: 2 pairs of Oakley Holbrook XL, one with Grey lenses one with blue, 2 pairs of Costa Rinconcito with the 580p lenses Grey and blue and a single pair of Costa Rincons with the 580g lenses in blue. All polarized. First the Rinconcito; despite its measurements they were too small. So both of them were no go's. Right out of the box. The Oakleys were very nice. The Holbrook xl is a great pair of sunglasses and the lenses were excellent as expected. I liked the red/green color enhancement of the blue lenses but I didn't like the 12% light transmission, too bright for me. The Grey were great at 11% light transmission but I really liked additional color I was able to pickup under water with the blue lenses. I went back and forth trying to choose between the 2 eventually choosing the blue. Then I tried the Rincon with the blue 580g lenses. Awesome fit, slightly larger than the Holbrook XL but comfortable and surprisingly light considering the glass lenses. The glasses fit and looked awesome. Then I noticed that the red/green colors were popping but I still felt comfortably shaded. The blue 580g lenses were 10% light transmission. Even darker than the Grey Oakleys. You may think 1% isn't a big deal but it's definitely noticeable. The blue Costas blocking an additional 2% of visable light over the Oakleys is a huge difference. I knew when I put them on they were the right pair and once I got to know them a little better it was confirmed. If you've got a wide face you owe it to yourself to try the Costa Rincons. ... show more

Great clarity. Fits well for me. Glasses got accidentally semi-crushed which popped out the lens but the frame survived and lens popped back in. I was pleasantly surprised.

    • Pricey but worth it

Bottom line: The optics are incredible, and they were so comfortable I usually forgot I was wearing them. If you can afford these, they are worth it- especially if you are going to be on the water where there is inescapable glare for long periods of time. I would normally never spend $200+ on a pair of sunglasses, but I was going to spend a week on a chartered sailboat and I knew I'd be on the water from sunup to sundown, so I went ahead and splurged. The first thing I noticed when I put them on at home was the amazing optics- they really are simply incredible. This was only re-enforced once I was on the water. One nice feature- the glasses have rubber on the tips of the side pieces (so- behind the ears) and on the bridge of the nose, so even when I was covered with sunscreen, these glasses never slipped. Negatives- Price. Second- these are just slightly tight just behind the ear. I tend to get headaches when I wear glasses that are snug or tight, so at first I hated this "snug fit" and thought I'd send them back, but I put them on to mow the lawn and in 30 seconds I forgot I was even wearing them. They were NOT tight on the temples, and I think that's why I had no problems with these. UPDATE- 1 year later- I still absolutely love these glasses, wear them all the time- definitely worth the $. ... show more
