  • So far satisfied
Color: White Size: 16GB (2x8GB) Style: 3600MHz Pattern Name: AMD Only
I normally don't write product reviews. However, I felt it would definitely be helpful in this situation to mention a few things about this ram. I picked up two of these, at separate times, for an intended Ryzen 9 5900x build. Price was decent, nothing to write home about, but as I was looking for RGB white sticks with a rating of 3600mhz(and Corsair branded), they worked. Out of the box they run at 2200mhz which is normal. You'll need to clock them up to 3600 and tighten the timings in the Bios(which is what I did) or Ryzen Master(which I have issues with, more in the review). I was able to get the following speeds. 3600Mhz(1800mhz DDR) 15-19-16-36-56 @ 1.38v PROS: Firstly, if you want clean looking ram with RGB, these look slick. They're quite bright as the 3rd picture shows, but aren't overpowering with the colors I set(2nd picture) so they're not obnoxious for me. They also clocked better than I was expecting (I was expecting to get 3600 @ 18-19-19-36-56) but they beat that expectation. I have had no PERFORMANCE issues so far with these that I can mention. So far, they're great. I ran Memtest for 10 hours (Disclaimer - I had to run it multiple times due to the limitations with Memtest Free.) and came back with 0 errors. CONS: This section is why I'm really writing this. Firstly, it is extremely important to note that there are multiple versions of this that ship. My first set was version 3.31, noted on the back of each DIMM, which is a Micron chip. These worked fine for months before I ordered the second set. The second set I received from a direct reorder option however.... That set was version 8.31. This came as an obscure chip mfg I had not heard of, Khana or something similar. These were problematic, I could not get them to 3600 with the specific timings, and I had issues with the XMP preset on this board. I ended up submitting a RMA swap for a defective product via Amazon (KUDOS for the easy as pie return/exchange process) and was lucky enough that my replacement was version 3.31. The Micron chips seem to be the stellar set here. If you are ordering this set, I HIGHLY recommend checking your version if you encounter any issues with meeting the XMP speeds or stability issues. 2nd CON: This is a specific scenario for me. These are NOT on my QVL for my X570 Aorus Master. They work fine, but I have had boot issues with these installed. HOWEVER, my bios error codes are all over the place, from D7 to D0 to C3(not an error code but I got stuck boot looping here once). I had issues with this board before this ram and ended up RMAing the board, but this is the only ram I've tested with the renewed board and I'm not able to test another set so.... could be the ram, could be the cpu itself.... could be a bad board. Just something I wanted to note in case you also experience issues. Final thoughts: I'm pretty satisfied so far. I haven't done any performance tests to check the "speed" of this kit. But it's still early and generally, if the clocks are there, and it's stable after 10+ hours....Should be fine, right? The price is average, but for white Dominator RGB ram, I'm not complaining. I would recommend this ram (Micron sticks only) for anyone seeking seemingly great clocks with equally clean aesthetics. Thanks for reading, hope it helps! ... show more

  • Best looking ram .
Color: Black Size: 32GB (4x8GB) Style: 3200MHz Pattern Name: AMD Only
They are aesthetically pleasing to look at and they perform very well. I haven't really OC them yet. I do know that they are samsung B dies memory. I set the xmp profile and they work like a charm. I've had no issues with the memory. I've ran tests on them for few hours with no errors. They run pretty cool and I can control the lighting with the corsair icue. No complaints yet but with update if any should arise. ... show more

  • Fast & Furious, with a stealthy and clean look
Color: Black Size: 32GB (4x8GB) Style: 3200MHz Pattern Name: AMD and Intel
Before I installed these set of sticks I had a set of Geil 2400 Mhz 8x2 RAM sticks. They worked fine and looked okay, but I was suffering from some occasional system crashes and instability with them. but these RGB dominators have had me drooling for them the day they came out. I purchased these as a celebration gift to myself for getting into the higher divison classes of my major (I was really just looking for any excuse to upgrade to these bad boys). I've had these for the past 2 months and I have yet to find any kinks or flaws with them, they were extremely easy to overclock with my motherboard,as all I had to do was enable the XMP profile and I'm running at a fast and stable 3200 MHz. These sticks are about as sexy and bright as RGB ram comes, emphasis on the brightness, with the new CAPELLIX LED technology these sticks are using, they're about as bright if nor brighter than the LL 120 Corsair RGB fans I have in my system. What I love about these sticks is I'm able to Monitor the temperature of each individual stick as well as create a custom light profile/manage lighting effects for each stick using Corsair's iCue lighting software (my favorite effect is stack), customization goes all the way down to choosing each individual zone you want to be lit on each individual RAM stick. I have my sticks configured by defualt to light up a certain color based on their individual temperatures, it's cool to see how the color reacts to the temperature changes in real time I've noticed no meaningful impact on the temperatures regardless of whether I have the lights on or off, Capellix LEDs are supposed to run much cooler/efficiently/ and brighter than their typical counterparts, and they certainly seem to be doing a good job of that. With my current cooling configuration my RAM temps never exceed 60°C during gaming, infact they hardly break a sweat running at 56- 57°C under load (keep in mind this is with all 4 RAM slots filled on my mobo). I'm a sucker for RGB and I'm a sucker for performance, this set of 4x8 sticks gave my system a much needed boost in performance as I no longer have stuttering/framerate issues while streaming games to twitch using shadowplay or OBS. In addition to that, while most games don't typically rely heavily on CPU or RAM speed, I have seen a nice boost of up to 20 frames in games like Battlefield 5 which does benifit from faster ram speeds. I was originally getting 40-50 fps on high/ultra settings with the 2400 MHz set I had, now I'm getting 60-70 fps (high/ultra) without CPU or GPU OCs. I'm using this Ram in conjunction with: Processor: i7-8700k Gfx card: MSI Ventus Rtx 2080 OC ... show more
