I used this on the edge of a glass top coffee table in conjunction with some corner protectors. It did the trick, but it is obviously not meant for this application. It was hard to get it to adhere to the tight, thin edge of our table (basically needed it to fit more as a “u” around the edge). This protector will work much better for regular wood coffee tables, bookcase, etc…furniture with thicker, 90 degree edges. The adhesive is very strong. I don’t think my toddler will be able to pull this off! It is not super thick or padded, but it will take the edge off of a fall. I found it hard to remove all the air bubbles during application…not a big deal, but if you apply slowly you may be able to avoid this. Pay attention to the dimensions. This was not enough to cover all sides of a coffee table... would probably cover three sides of a standard rectangular coffee table. I only needed it for two sides anyway so it was fine, but you may have to order multiple rolls depending on your needs. ... show more

We needed something to cover the edges of our kids' wood bunkbed because they kept getting hurt bumping their heads. So, This is really helpful to cover those edges. This edge protector is thick and pretty adhesive. It is easy to cut and stick on the edge of the furnitures. It works great on the edges, but it is difficult to use for corners. It is hard to say that is a corner protector because you have to cut it around the corner, which makes impossible to have a protection from hitting on the corner. ... show more

This product is okay but the width isnt near what I had hoped for. Guess I should have paid closer attention to the measurements. You get sufficient length of it for the price. Definitely could use some cushioning to it in my opinion.

Protective strip is pretty thick, does a good job of protecting when installed. Adhesive seems pretty good, thick sticky stuff. Check how much you get, and make sure it measures the area you need to cover. Slightly difficult to peel off the adhesive cover, and installation required a lot of pressure to push out the air bubbles that formed. PROs: 1. adhesive is strong 2. Soft and thick enough to protect 3. Versatile usage CONs: 1. Smelly but that will fade ( I wiped it down just in case but it still strong smell of silicone) Good to have around to seal up things around the home. I even used for fish tank corners.

These silicone clear edge protector strip comes in a long roll that is cut to size. Bought for a 7 ft table. The strip is considerably thick. Straightforward to install. Measure twice and cut once. Meant for edge of table/desk and not for edge. I do think this product will protect a child some from a dangerous fall into the corner of a table or other hard surface. However, it looks much larger in the images in person, and it also isn't as soft as I would like. It's a surprisingly tough rubber with less give than I'd expect for something that was supposed to protect a child who tripped and fell into it.
