I wrapped up this nifty Corkcicle glass as a Christmas gift for my whiskey-loving husband three years ago. It was one of those "he's been eyeing it, so why not?" moments, and the design is pretty cool for a gift. Is it worth it for the price: In terms of quality, it's worth for what you get. The rubber's thick, the glass is very sturdy. Positives: The glass is top-notch quality, thick enough to survive an apocalypse, or at least the dishwasher for years. It does not have the quality of elegance that comes with thin glass or crystal, it's a bit more rustic because of the thickness but it's great for daily use. Negatives: Now, here's the scoop. The ice mold part was a bit of a letdown for my husband. The idea was to keep the drink cool without turning it into water too quickly. Well, turns out, in reality, it didn't quite nail its purpose. The whiskey gets a bit watery too fast, and the ice takes its sweet time to set in the freezer due to it's size so you need to plan a few hours a head when you want to have a drink. So, the ice wedge idea got the boot from my husband pretty quickly and he has been sticking with the glass only ever since. Overall: It's a pretty clever gift, and the quality is top-notch. But, if your whiskey buddy likes things neat, this might not be their cup of... well, whiskey. ... show more

    • Cools your drink without overly diluting it.

Great drink glass with ice feature. I found it is much easier to get the mold to release if I use purified water instead of tap water, Too many minerals in tap water and it does not easily release. I now have two and rotate them so I always have a fresh one.
