This is a great mug! I spend about an hour in Bible study and prayer. Usually I get a cup of coffee from the Keurig and give it 30 seconds more in the microwave, and it still cools down before I finish. But not with the Corkcicle! I went straight from the Keurig to the Corkcicle, and an hour later the coffee was still hot! The seal of the lid is so tight that it is a little hard to get off, but that is great for keeping the coffee hot. I had no drinking problem with the opening in the lid, and I appreciated the fact that I could close it when not drinking which also helps keep the coffee hot. And this was the lowest priced mug! This is a great product and I would recommend it highly to anyone who likes their coffee hot over a long period of time. ... show more

OK so I need to separate the transaction from the product. My first order (standard black coffee cup) was delivered without the original packaging, with a dent AND a Texas A&M sticker attached? I don't know who's responsible - I will leave that up to the reader (Amazon Prime shipping times and product descriptions - new, use, etc. has been erratic lately). I received a "new" one that was in fact new. I really like the material, not heavy, and does quite well keeping coffee warm. A big positive for me is that I can taste the aluminum after taste in other products but not this one - well done Corkcicle. My only negative: Personally, I like "4 finger" coffee cups - meaning all 4 fingers fit within the handle. This cup is definitely a "3 finger" cup. *** .5 year update*** This cup has been with me for half a year now, and I must say, I really like it. However, there are some quality issues that are holding it back. I used this cup exclusively for my home office coffee, and I never took it out of the house. I always hand-washed it. The lid is a nice touch, and the temperature control for hot beverages is great. Plus, it doesn’t have that “metallic” taste that some cups have. But the biggest problem is the finish at the lip of the mouth. It’s starting to chip, and I’m worried that I could potentially ingest the coating. To prevent this, I recommend using a band of metal around the mouth of the cup. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this cup anymore and will be replacing it. ... show more

I absolutely love this mug. My one and only complaint is the slider on the lid. It’s flimsy and insufficient to say the least. The plastic tabs broke off after the first week if they can get a better lid, this would be the perfect mug.

I had a Hydro Flask coffee mug that I loved for years, but it turns out that the rubbery outer surface and handle don't survive multiple trips through the dishwasher. Had I but known. It took me several tries to find a replacement that was the right size and just as comfortable to drink out of -- thank you, generous Amazon return policy! -- but this cup was the one. It's perfect, it's comfortable to hold, it appears to be completely dishwasher safe, it has a closeable top, and it keeps hot drinks hot for, well, I don't actually know, but for long enough for me to finish them at a leisurely pace.
