My 6 year old Birks were looking pretty shabby but I didn't know how to refurbished them. I saw this suooydoy Cork Sealer on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I was glad I did because, after the application, my Birks looked almost new. The application was a little awkward at first because the brush that comes in the sealer does not provide a smooth stroke. I use cork sealant on my Birk's a couple of times a year. Compared to products I've tried in the past that were more viscous, this one is a thinner liquid. I think that may help it penetrate the cork more effectively. It has a nice sheen when it dries. I can't detect any odor at all. Because a little goes a long way, I think the 30 ml bottle ($5.99 at the time of this writing) is a great value. The only thing I don't like is the brush, which is cheap and doesn't give you a lot of control. But for the low price, I'll deal with it. ... show more

This is great stuff, keeps the cork dry in Birks, and dries clear. Don’t put on thick coats though or it will show- do a couple of thin layers.
