I used these to make a cork wall for my daughter's room to hang her art work. The thinckness is good for using pushpins. Be careful when sticking these to a wall - once the are on they aren't coming off easily. The only exception was 2 tiles I had too tight together, they kept falling. The others I can't pry off the wall without breaking.

First, I ordered two packages of these to create a darts shield for a patio room wall. I got a new dart board for my BD, but having had some experience with them a long time ago, I knew that playing darts can do some serious damage to the walls on which they're mounted. I checked around and the unanimous opinion was to use cork. As these tiles are 1/2" thick, that would be ideal. They seemed to be very well made. But after letting sit opened for an hour or two, I noticed they were starting to warp; instead of remaining completely flat, the centers of the tiles started to rise a little bit on the adhesive side. As I had no other alternative, I started to place the tiles on the wall. If you're going to cut these tiles, you might want to sacrifice one tile to see how your technique works. The cork is, for cork, quite hard, and almost impossible to cut cleanly with a very sharp knife. Thick cork crumbles if you're using a dull tool, or a coarse saw. I ended up using a handheld power jig saw with extremely sharp Bosch saw blades of type TP144. The cut edges were not glassy smooth but kind of a "sandy" rough, and that was good enough to blend with edges on adjacent tiles w/o being obvious. My "fitting" of the tiles was not perfect, but it was good enough for wall protection, especially when one considers that darts are usually played in bars with a beer in the other hand. I'll update this after a few weeks with regard to the quality of the adhesive.

I had high hopes for these. I received one box as a gift and bought a matching box here. Both boxes have the same issue. The cork tiles are warped upon removal from the cellophane packaging. Hours after sticking them to a flat, clean painted wall the tiles began falling off. The tile adhesive sticks incredibly well to carpeting though. As a last resort, I will apply construction grade aggressive to the backs of these tiles. That will make a heck of a mess when removing these some day!

Bought this to put behind our dartboard so we didn’t get holes in the wall (if we missed) and it’s perfect! It is self adhesive which is convenient. Hopefully it doesn’t pull the paint off the wall, but great thickness for what we wanted and the quadrants made it easy to place wherever we needed
