  • Beautiful and sounds amazing!
This guitar is everything you could want. The tone is outstanding! The cedar top and rosewood back and sides create amazing sound and vibration. The cutaway is perfect for playing lead guitar and getting at the high frets. The slight radius curve to the neck creates comfort for the difficult chords. The nylon strings are easy on your fingers. The Fisherman system allows you to plug in and play. And built-in tuner is very handy. All in all, it is very well made guitar. I would recommend it for anyone. ... show more

  • Not Near As Bad As The Previous Review
I own this model, I did not buy it through amazon, however I don't think it's worth it's streetprice, but it's very decent, it does have a solid top tho laminate back and sides, I appreciate it has a ebony fretboard. I have played several gigs with it and it played well with out any issues and I love the slimmer neck. However the pick up preamp died after 5 years and I replaced it with a higher end one. I realized it's a overseas built guitar but all in all the craftmen ship is very decent it's held togeather well regarding the build quality. I can no longer justify taking out to gig with very expensive guitars this day and age, so now I only take out inexpensive ones such as this model and they play and sound good enough. Bottom line, it fairs well and competes well just a little pricey new for being built overseas. But all guitars are built overseas unless you have a couple grand plus for a USA or Japanese models. ... show more

  • Good guitar for the price
I like it better than the Taylor 814ce Nylon, which costs $6000. The pick up sound is very good, acoustic sound is good, playability is good after you set it up to suit your playing style.

  • DO NOT BUY THE CORDOBA THIN BODY MODELS
I am a long-time experienced guitarist and I own one of the thin body models with electronics. The sound of the guitar acoustically was nice and balanced (at first) and the Fishman electronics are superb. However, over time--even with meticulous humidity control--the top started to separate from the support ribs underneath and a few buzzes developed. This then created an uneven boom with the 5th/A string in addition to annoying buzzes with certain notes around that range. I spoke with Cordoba directly and they would not help by repairing the guitar. And when I took it to experienced luthiers, they could not work on the guitar because the profile was so thin that they could not get inside the guitar to attempt repairing the rib/top separation and resolve the buzz. THEREFORE... DO NOT BUY THE CORDOBA THIN BODY MODELS. And although they are normally a name associated with a nice instrument, their lack of support of their own guitars means you should buy another brand. ... show more

  • Too expensive for a laminated guitar with no case
This guitar is way too expensive for a laminate back and sides, plus it doesn’t come with a case, so add that to your budget if you’re considering it. I’ve been researching and shopping for awhile for a good classical guitar. I’m an experienced acoustic guitar player, but haven’t played in awhile. I own a Guild D30 Blonde, a 1969 model EKO Ranger 12-string, and a mid-70’s Ovation 12, and decided to learn to play a classical guitar. This guitar has a nice tone and is louder than many other classical models. However, for the price I can get a comparable quality guitar that’s solid wood all over and comes with a hard shell case. I’ll be returning this one. ... show more
