I searched for a small impact driver and settled on this little gem. It was a bit pricey I thought at first, but after using it for awhile I can't say that anymore. It comes with two batteries, a wall charger that plugs into the battery like you would a phone...so there is no large charging station, or heavy batteries. This is light, compact, and comfortable. It has the impact feature that gives just the right amount of umpfff to those rusted, corroded fasteners. It is just right for working those small jobs that have a hundred screws and nuts. The quick release on the chuck is great, now I have a driver for all those bits and drill bits that have that recess in them...the weak Link will be the batteries life...we shall see...at least I don't have $$$ wrapped up in another set of batteries and chargers that don't fit anything else.

Honestly, I ordered this fully expecting it to be a weak, crappy tool that wouldn't suit my needs, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. The blow molded case has a proper pin-hinge instead of the live hinge you see even on higher end tools, so if you use the case, it won't randomly break after a few months. The case, battery and especially the charger feel exceptionally cheap, hollow and weigh nothing. The charger just uses a DC barrel connector and is pretty slow. The tool itself, however, feels surprisingly good. The over-molding feels fine, the casing fits together well, and the plastic feels solid with good weight. I took it out to my car to see if it could remove a lug nut (previously tightened to 95 lbs-ft) and I fully expected it to fail. But after two seconds it did come off, so not an amazing showing, but still pretty respectable for a tool this size. The handle is a bit on the long side, but the slim battery and short head would make this a very handy tool for working on cars. However, you'd need to use a hex to square drive adapter, and these will make the tool longer, so keep that in mind. I also used it to work on an electric scooter and it was amazing. All the screws immediately came off and saved me quite some time. It's not all perfect, though. The trigger control is awful. The range of motion is very small, and if you're tightening something at low speed and the tool comes to a stop, the tool will immediately send full power to the motor which can easily overtighten bolts. My Ryobi tool, by comparison, will not do that so it is much much easier to use it to install a screw without tightening it. So if you plan to install screws with this cheap impact, be very careful because you could easily break something. The included bit selection is limited and seems pretty random. I got two torx bits, a hex bit, a drill bit and some other bit that's either for masonry or glass, and of course the obligatory #2 Phillips. I'd definitely advise buying a set of impact bits and hex to square drive adapters too. Make sure they're all impact rated, otherwise they'll break and you could hurt yourself. As for durability, it's hard to tell. I wanted to take the tool apart, but after seeing its good performance I decided to not do so because I want to keep it. If you're a mechanic, obviously this wouldn't do well, but for the home-gamer that would use this once or twice a month, I wouldn't expect durability to be an issue. Totally recommended.

Drill works fine, and the torque seems to be pretty good, it just seems like it is pretty cheaply made. The joints aren't tight, and if feels less than ideally made, but it does the job. It drove 3" screws in pine with no problem, so power isn't an issue, but it is pretty heavy for the size. Battery seems to hold a charge pretty well as I have not yet needed to recharge it.

The drill, batteries, and charger are great. The outside case came with a small crack on the bottom but it’s not bad. It’s not as powerful as my Milwaukee M18 but for this price you get good value and it still does the job. You get everything in the pictures and I’m sure I’ll be able to use this for a long time.

This is a great little driver, and as a bonus the batteries are actually 2.5AH, an extra 25% more capacity than advertised! This kit includes a cheap case, two batteries, battery charger, and a selection of bits. It doesn’t include drill bits but that can be remedied with a cheap set - just keep in mind this is a driver and while it can drill the hammer action may break drill bits in very hard materials so only drill wood, drywall, and other soft materials and avoid materials that might bind the drill bit. Overall it’s fairly powerful and quick, and very light. It won’t beat a 24V hammer drill, but it can also be used in places other drills won’t fit. Further, it’s very lightweight and much easier to use for those that need lighter tools. So it’s perfect for keeping around the house, but isn’t a bad addition to a workshop. It doesn’t use any sort of standard battery that I can tell, but the battery packs are well made with adequate protection so should last a long time.
