The battery is very difficult to remove due to misalignment with polisher and incorrect size of the locking tabs with the battery opening on the polisher. You can fix it with a Dremel mini tool to reduce the battery tab width to the correct size. These are gifts and I have not used them so far.

I have yet to actually use this to polish something, but I did unbox it and see the material quality and the performance of it. I must say it gave me good initial impressions after opening the box. The material and build quality is very good considering the price, I felt I was holding a product you would buy at your local hardware store. I turned it on and found that the rotation varies a lot, can be very slow or very quick. Cant wait to give it a try to polish something. Will update review with actual performance and battery life in the future.

Considering this is a 12v battery and it is very small, I would doubt it's going to last through an entire car's worth of buffing or polishing. That said, it seems fairly sturdy and comes with a variety of pads. It has a hook/loop type adhesion disk on it and the pads come with the opposite of what's on the polisher. It is indeed a random orbit polisher with variable speeds. It says "6 speeds" but really, it is a rheostat type thumb wheel which gives you infinite speed differences between the fastest and slowest settings. Overall, I think it is a good value for the $$, just wish the battery was a little bigger.

This kit comes with everything you need to get a simple wax job on your vehicle. It is battery operated, which can supply a little less power than you would think, but it does the job! You get a 6 inch polishing surface, which is plenty to take care of some of those tight spots. This is well worth the money for what all you get!

Having cordless tools, without having to be concerned about finding a plug or extension cord is a plus in my book. And, this is what this battery powered buffer/polisher offers! The convenience that this offers, to be able to have my vehicle any place I choose for this job, will make the job more enjoyable. I have always hand polished my vehicles, but with getting older, have been wanting an assistant. I now have my assistant with this cordless unit! A wide variety of pads come with this unit too which I plan to investigate. The unit has a comfortable grip and an easily accessible on/off button. The pads are held on with a tight velcro, giving a good grip for going over the surface of my vehicles. Overall I am very pleased with this unit and feel that it has just become one of life's little pleasures with making work easier!
