My old one broke down and now I’m willing to spend a bit more for better quality. I use to sharpen my tools and it does that just fine. The set it comes with works alright for beginners but I would probably go for some better discs down the road.

The media could not be loaded. I got this because I have a corded angle grinder and wanted one that was cordless to use when I am power carving. It seemed to me that having one of each would allow me to not only be able to have the ability to be more mobile but also have the power of the corded motor. As I show in the video, setup is very easy. The only issue with it is that the safety shield took a little finesse to get it to go on straight. Not a huge problem just a tiny bit of wiggling. It is able to be used left or right handed as I show in the video. It has a standard connection for various cutoff/grinding/sanding etc wheels. The wheels are the 4-4½ size. It is a good bit lighter than I was expecting and though it does not feel "cheap" you can tell that the highest quality materials were not used in its manufacturing. I've never owned or used a cordless grinder before so it makes it harder to judge, but I am a little concerned about the power of this one. Generally, whenever I have started any grinder I have experienced a bit of kick from the torque of the head starting to spin. I didn't get that with this. That may be normal for a cordless grinder or it may be a feature of a soft start tool. I won't know that until I actually grind something. If it's an issue I will update my post. Otherwise this seems like a fair tool for the price it does have a couple of nice features like the included stabilizer handle, the safety shield, the trigger lock button 3 grinding wheels and a cutoff wheel. The grinding wheels aren't the best quality and you can actually see that on the ones I got, but they will work. My only real concern is the way that the battery is so difficult to both put on and especially take back off. It wasn't as bad in the video but I've had a couple of instances that I wasn't sure if I was going to get my battery back. The video was the last time currently I took it off and it went much better, though still not easy, so hopefully it will loosen up a little and work out the problem. Overall, I would say that it is worth the price and seems as if it will do what it is supposed to, but I also think that it is a get what you pay for type of item. Maybe a bit better than that. This crooked company makes it look like a Dewalt, uses the word Dewalt in the listing so it comes up on searches, and even stole the packaging graphics to fool people further. This is a poorly made piece of crap that cost way, way, way more than it's worth. I will get bogged down during easy grinding and won't last a month. Of course it's not suppose to be a tool, it's a scam to screw people into thinking they bought a tool. ... show more

Everything has it's place. If you're going to do some heavy grinding this is the wrong grinder. If you need to do a quick buffing job or clean up a small welding job it works pretty good. It is a lot faster than dragging out the extension cord.

When purchased I thought it was a Dewalt tool. Obviously it is not just uses Dewalt batteries. When this product was used it did work... Kind of. I was able to cut a metal rail for hanging cabinets, But I had to stop and start a few times. Even a little bit of torque on the motor causes it stop and you have to restart. I would of given it one star but it did ultimately do the job that I wanted all be it with some difficulty. ... show more
