I bought this high purity bare copper wire to make prismatic packing for a still. I easily wound the wire around a stainless steel shish kabob skewer, with approximately 1 mm between loops, and cut them into 8 to 10 mm segments.

4 stars on quality but NOT good for crafters & makers. I bought a thicker gauge to use for stained glass & other art & craft projects, & it is wound on the spool so sloppily that it is impossible to straighten it. I should have studied the picture because you can tell somewhat it is spooled badly, but the product information advertises use for crafts, so I went ahead. I bought a thicker gauge, but if even the thinner gauges (18,20) are wound like this, artisans & crafters beware—you will need to do alot of straightening & won’t be happy starting out with so many kinks and lumps—not worth it when there are so many options for copper wire. Other than this, I would have been happy with the quality. I am using it for junk household & garden.
