These are very well made socks. I prefer a lighter weight sock with arch compression and cushioned bottom. I wear a 8.5 to 9 women's shoe and the small/med are perfect. I walk and ride bike...so far doing exactly what I was hoping. I have purchased these socks twice. They fit well, have the arch band, and wash up beautifully. The thickness is very soft and comfortable. I love the gray sole since I wear socks in the house. I will definately be buying more in the future in order to have an abundance available.

I purchased these because I knew I would be doing a lot of walking on a recent trip to Italy and wanted something with support. I do not have plantar fasciitis, so I cannot make any claims to its effectiveness for that particular issue. They were like little compression socks, not bulky, comfortable, and my feet did not get hot in them. They fit well according to my size. I did not have sore or tired feet at the end of the day, though I do give credit to my sneakers as well. We are a family of runners and these are our new favorite running socks! They provide good compression but not too tight so they are easy to put on. They have a nice amount of cushioning and fit well. They are decent at wicking moisture away from your feet, but not as functional as a more expensive brand. Overall, they do exactly what we hope for them to do on shorter runs. If you are a serious runner and taking a longer run then you may want to use a sock that wicks moisture a little better.
