I bought this carry on in a different color for my fiance back in May (2023) and have since taken it on several road trips. It has done well on those road trips so I went ahead and purchased one for myself but in the pink color this time. I can't say how well it's done on planes or traveling yet but I will update my review after my international vacation later this year. I will be doing a lot of walking on streets and train stations and I am hopeful that the wheels don't break or anything like that. It's good to point out that if you STUFF this carry-on at more than max capacity, the front tech pocket kind of becomes unusable because the lining bulges from the inside out - , cutting into the available space for all your tech. You could probably still put some papers and such, perhaps your passport and maybe a slim tablet or kindle but probably not a laptop. Otherwise, we really do like these suitcases, we'll just see how they do with a lot of lugging and walking around. We are not planning on checking these in so we are also hopeful that zippers or anything like that wont break. ... show more

Liked the light weight as main reason for this purchase. Easily rolls around fully loaded. Used once so far and notice two things that make me wonder about quality…telescoping handles bind easily but I’ll have to try non oil, silicone lubricant, plastic gouges (relatively easily) as after one 3.5 hour flight had deep gouge ( may have been a sharp metal rubbing the whole flight and it may hold up well over time. UPDATE 8-3-2019 ***READ ME FIRST BEFORE PURCHASE*** Coolife customer service was very agressive in an attempt to contact me to make things right on my end. They apologized repeatedly for the inconvenience and offered a refund. They also asked bluntly if I would be willing to change my stars from 3 to 5 if I was made beyond whole again. I ultimately accepted the offer with the understanding that my opinions and observations would stand and I would be open and honest in my review as well as transparent with the whole interaction. PRO: -Customer service who cares enough to ensure your satisfaction and their reputation is saved. - Product had quality feeling fit and finish. Lightweight, rugged shell, decent handle, smooth zippers, quiet and easy rolling wheels. -Looks good too CONS: - It is possible, in my personal opinion, that the zipper design on the tech compartment may be susceptible to damage. The 2 locking tabs on the zipper pulls broke on the first and second use. The reason I think this is because the main compartment zippers had suffered zero damage and were in perfect working order. On the other hand the smaller tech compartment zippers had one break after the first flight (no longer secure) and the second broke after the 2nd flight. I believe it might be design related because it happened on 2 separate flights. It's also possible the first impact weakened the 2nd zipper, but also means another minor impact caused the break. Either possibility means the zipper tabs take substantial hits during travel. My suspicion is this is because of baggage handling practices. I was at the door to the plane when one employee slide the bag down a chute to a handler waiting at the bottom. This employee slid the bag handle first to avoid damaging the wheels upon impact with the bottom. Makes sense right? Unfortunately there is a 50/50 chance your bag will end up with the tech compartment door facing down. This will allow the whole weight of the bag to pinch the zipper pull tabs against whatever hard surface your bag hits on chutes and carousels during the handling process. Guess which part doesn't seem to survive this interaction? Pick your poison, broken zippers or broken wheels. Again, this is just an informed opinion and other than this POTENTIAL issue (which makes the security lock a waste of time) this was an awesome bag. Also, there is no other way to secure the bag once the tabs are busted. If Coolife changes the design and adds some loops, you may be able to use a stand alone TSA mini lock as backup. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I used my brand new COOLIFE Carry on to go on a trip to Hawaii. It took 2 different planes to get there and both were full flights. The boarding agent of the smaller of the 2 requested volunteers to check their carry-ons at the gate, so I went ahead and volunteered my COOLIFE bag. I was asked multiple times if it was a "smart bag", guess it's outward appearance appears like it would be? Anyway, when I arrive at me destination 12 hours later, I see my shiny new carry on has a sustained catastrophic damage during it's very first adventure away from home and out of my hands. One locking zipper tab that is supposed to prevent the laptop compartment from being accessed had the locking tab sheared off and the little nub was still inside the TSA approved combination housing. The second flight it took broke the 2nd zipper tab. Not much use if I can no longer secure my electronics compartment during travel. It's unclear whether this was due to an abnormal blow during transport or whether it is due to a faulty material, but either way, I can't recommend it due to a possibly poor design and/or bad construction. This is no longer servicable/secure so I am going to return it as faulty. I will not ask for a replacement because I feel the design will likely be damaged again during travel. ... show more

I really like this suitcase, i bought it because the only other carry on size product I had was a giant Vera Bradley duffle and my bag was as just taking a huge hit every time! But this suitcase has been awesome! My only negative with it is that the handle sometimes gets stuck, you really have to tug on it to get it all the way up, and all the way down. The suitcase also is very much a carry on size, you won’t be overstuffing it too much, you can fit a decent amount for a long weekend but not too much more than that! This bag is great. Lots of room and it rolls very smooth. One downside to the bag is the lack of side handle (i didnt realize when i bought it). theres only one handle on the top, which makes it challenging to lift easily. However, it does fit perfectly in an overhead bin with a lot of extra clearance (the front pocket makes the bag quite wide, and i was worried about carry on size limits, but no worries) ... show more

Bought this set for my adult son. He loves them. They both have great spinner wheels making either one easy to pull. And construction seems pretty solid. Good price. For me, the carry-on is too small and the larger suitcase is too big, but they are perfect for him. He loves them!
