I travel a decent amount for work. I'm also clumsy and tend to get into the most deranged situations at times. These bags have really taken it well. The medium one has survived being hit full speed by a cyclist on the sidewalk instead of the bike lane doing more injury to him than they took from the impact. It also survived being ejected from the side storage of an airport shuttle going around a curve at 50mph and slamming into a concrete barrier. The other passenger's bags wish they were as lucky. They have also survived being lost by United twice and getting returned with obvious paint transfer and impacts with nothing but minor cosmetic damage. The smallest somehow survived falling down the open center of a stairwell from 3 stories up when a child distracted the bellhop. It also navigated it's way through oncoming traffic (it rolled down a hill and was somehow missed by every single vehicle across a busy 4 lane highway so I like to think the nimble rollers contributed to it's agile maneuvering over asphalt). And most recently I took instant coffee with me in my checked bag. When I opened it the coffee had come open and spewed crystals everywhere. I shook my clothes clean and took them out etc, no harm done, just dry coffee everywhere and I assumed I'd clean it up later and just rest from my flight. Well it seems dry coffee crystals and wet Massachusetts air makes sticky coffee mud similar to melted hard candy. I literally had to fill half the suitcase with hot water and scrape it out then pour suitcase coffee in the sink. And you know what? The liner didn't leak into the hard shell with at least a gallon of coffee in it. It didn't even stain!! I also know both the small and medium handles hold up to the 50lb limit of United economy and have had no problem when loaded with too many second hand books or bottles of wine and whisky. The rollers didn't have an issue either and nothing broke inside. I haven't used the biggest one much at all but I feel confident assuming it's just a durable. There's been a number of other incidents involving luggage handlers, conveyers, airport shuttles, and at least one forklift and these things have done well. I recommend them. The one tiny inconsequential thing about the finish I purchased is that stickers don't stick well if you like to apply ones. But that's not enough to complain about. I bought this new luggage set after my old one embarrassed me at the airport! It came out all leaniningto the aide and wheels was wobble and about to fall off. The wheels on this luggage set was great! Nice and smooth. The luggage set is much better in person it's really nice and light weight. I was worried it might break during my trip to Bali, 4 plane rides later it came back like a champ! Wheels intact, no crazy dents or cracks, i’m really impressed. I also bought a strap just in case to hold it all together just in case, but it was fine. I used the 24” for my trip and it was a perfect size for a 7 day trip. I purchased this luggage set to take to Alaska for an Alaska fishing trip. They worked great! They wheeled around easily which made it nice since I had a few bags to take with me with all my gear in them. They also made it easy to store in our RV because I could just wheel them back and forth when maneuvering around in the RV when I needed to because I was constantly putting things in some of them and taking things out of others. After reading the reviews of these suitcases I was nervous about buying them but they were a good price and met my needs so I decided to take a chance on them. I went on a week and a half land tour and cruise in Alaska. In addition to 6 flights the suitcase was handled daily by the land tour baggage handlers and the cruise ship crew. I took the largest bag and it was very full. Except for some scratches and scrapes, which are to be expected after all that handling, there was no damage to the suitcase. I fly 2-3 times a week and travel between hotels and bases on a daily basis. These suitcases handle the abuse of travel very well. For serious travelers like me, these suitcases will last about a year before they need to be replaced. An average traveler should be able to get many years of problem free travel. Just received the family set. It’s nice looking, has easy-moving spinner wheels and nice handles. These are basically empty with small zipper pockets inside so no barriers to using the entire interior space, which I like. One complaint: super annoying tear-off perforated tags on the outside that leave a strip of paper sticking out of all 4 bags of the family set and are nearly impossible to remove.
