I'm constantly burning my scalp and dealing with peeling and headaches for days. My hair is pretty fine and thin so I was looking for something lighter than just applying regular sunblock to my head, and wouldn't give me hat hair. This is nice because you can already it in and it feels cool upon applying (maybe because it was just a hot day). It worked for me but it did make my hair look a bit greasy. I love all of the coola products. They are the only sunscreens that I use that I know for sure my daughter won’t burn with. This summer my family went on vacation to Disney world and then a cruise and I didn’t want our scalps to burn but also didn’t want my hair to look greasy. I was very impressed with how well this worked. I used this all summer and sometimes I was out in the sun most of the day and I never got a burnt scalp. It smells great too and the bottle will last you a long time.

This is an easy-to-use product (nice hand pump action) that does prevent my scalp from getting sunburn. The scent is a little strong at first but not unpleasant, and in any case it goes away after a short time. My one complaint, and the reason for only 3 stars, is that it's oily. My hand gets oily (and sticky) when I smooth my hair over, which is very unpleasant. I wish there was a product as good as this one that went on truly "dry". ... show more
