I just mist it on my part before going out in the sun and gently rub it into my scalp. Great sunblock for the hair and scalp. If you overdo it some, it will look greasy, of course. Used it on a very hot sunny day where I was out for hours. Never reapplied it, and I still didn't burn. Less greasy in hair than SunBum but the scent is strange and not something I would choose to wear. If they made an odorless or even a more tropical mango/peach smell (gently scented), it would be much better.
