The reason for four stars is this is not a complete square gasket. The EPDM foam is thick and yes the adhesive is in the right place but as a personal preference I prefer a solid one piece gasket. I looked at the pictures in the description and thought that’s what I was ordering. The EPDM foam compressed the way it should but I am not sold on adhesive corners. The adhesive corners do make it easy to get a precise fit. The price is good for the quality of the gasket material and adhesive. The material has the correct firmness for compression and should provide a leak free seal. Everything is great about the gasket but I’m not sold on multiple pieces. This is just an opinion I have developed through the years. I learned from a Motorhome we had years ago that the key is replacing it over a few years to prevent leaks. I now replace the AC gasket every two to three years and aim for every two. The adhesive for the corners is very good and maybe I am worried for no reason. It was easy to install.

I wanted EPDM but this came in a kit to glue myself and when I tried to pick up the frame, it fell apart. I lost confidence this would perform well and not leak although the Seller assured me it would perform well once compressed. Nevertheless, I returned!

This Convivium RV air conditioner gasket worked exactly as needed. The gasket fit properly and compressed evenly once the AC unit was installed, creating a solid, leak proof seal on the roof. The closed cell EPDM foam feels durable and high quality. Installation was straightforward, and the self adhesive backing made positioning easy before setting the AC unit in place. Once installed, it sealed tightly without being too difficult to work with. I appreciate that it provides a clean seal without messy sealants. After installation, there were no signs of air or water leaks, and the AC feels more secure and stable than before. Removal was also clean when adjusting alignment, which was a big plus. Overall, this is a reliable, well-made replacement gasket that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Great quality, easy install, and excellent performance. Highly recommend for anyone servicing or replacing an RV roof AC gasket.

This is a gasket needed when installing a rooftop AC in the standard sized 14”x14” RV roof opening. The Amazon listing says it is made of EPDM. The pieces of the gasket have adhesive on the bottom and the angled sides to make installation easier and reduce the need for other sealants. The parts appear to be cut very precisely. This is especially important for the mitered cuts that enable this set to be assembled into a square gasket. Many of the competing products listed on Amazon don’t need to be joined at a miter cut as they are shipped as a rectangle. The listing has some pictures of the installation process. I have a van with a roof top AC. At some point, I hope to swap it out for a lower profile roof top unit. This set should come in handy during the install or if a leak develops before then.

I bought the Convivium 14" x 14" Universal RV Roof Air Conditioner Gasket, Self-Adhesive Closed-Cell EPDM to replace the weathered and crumbling gasket on my small Mercedes Class C RV. I plan to install it this spring when the weather is warmer and I recoat the RV roof with white silicone roofing material. In the meantime, I wanted to share my first impressions while I prepare for the job. The current gasket seems to leak intermittently, likely only when driving in the rain, and it’s clearly breaking down. This Convivium gasket kit looks like a major upgrade, with high-quality closed-cell EPDM rubber that's durable, water-resistant, and should outperform the old material in both longevity and sealing ability. I was especially impressed with the completeness of the 6-piece kit. It includes: - Four mitered corner pieces, measuring 16 ¾" on the outside edge, 14" on the inside edge, 1" tall, and 1 ½" wide. - Two additional thinner strips made of the same EPDM material : One is approximately 17" long, 1 ½" wide, and 9/16" tall. The other is about 17" long, 1 ½" wide, and 7/16" tall. The pieces are neatly cut, the self-adhesive along the bottom of the strips, as well as the mitered corners, feels strong, and the EPDM foam is firm yet flexible — just what you'd want for protecting against water intrusion under your A/C unit. I'll probably apply the silicone roof coating along the bottom of the outside edge just for additional confidence. Even though I haven't installed it yet, I’m confident this is the right solution for preventing future A/C roof leaks. Definitely recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their RV’s A/C seal when reroofing before problems start!
