I absolutely love this table. I am surprised that so many people had issues with it, but it looks like most of it was packaging issues and cracking wood. I had no issues whatsoever. I bought the black one. The top and bottom panels are wood and the sides are made of metal. The flip top seemed a little bit flimsy at first, but I have taken good care of it, so I’ve had no issues with it. Assembly was much easier than I thought, and instructions were easy to follow. There were no cracks in the wood. I haven’t had any issues with the outlets so far. I use it to plug my phone in, and there’s a small divet in the side to put your phone cord through so that your phone cord doesn’t get crushed by the flip top. I also keep my fitbit charger in there, and charge my Fitbit inside the table. I haven’t used the usb much, but they work perfectly. Before you get this table, make sure that the spot you want to put it in is close to a wall with an outlet. Many people forget that to make the outlet work, you kinda have to plug it in. :) When they get it, they’re pretty disappointed that they couldn’t put it in the middle of the living room like they wanted. If that is the case, you could get an extension cord also. The top compartment has SO MUCH SPACE. A lot more space than I thought it would! I put everything in this thing- tv remotes, coasters, tissues, papers, my phone, my tablet- everything. The only downside that I’ve noticed is that it’s obviously a little hard to open the flip top when you have stuff on top of it. So, if I have a cup full of water on the flip top side, a book, and a box of tissues, and I want to open it to grab my tv remote, I have to move all of that stuff to open the table. I wouldn’t classify that as a complaint, but just something I hadn’t really thought about until I started using it. Moral of the story: If you don’t want to have to move stuff just open your table, you’ll have to put the majority of your stuff IN the table, and use the non flip top side to put the few stuff you want on top of the table, like a box of tissues. I guess that’s why there’s so much storage though, right? Let’s not forget the bottom space also. More shelf space to put tissues, bags, bowl of whatever, snacks, whatever you please. Overall, this table is pretty awesome. It’s coventient to be able to store all of my stuff right next to me, and charge my phone on top of that. ... show more

There are unfortunately a lot of bad reviews for this product, so I wanted to be sure to add my good experience! Maybe it's a roll of the dice with this one and you'll have to decide if it's worth taking your chances. You really do get what you pay for. If you want something of higher quality, I would recommend looking elsewhere and spending the kind of money that higher quality will cost you. But, for what I purchased this for, I am absolutely pleased! I purchased and am reviewing the white table. See photos. This is "wood" and metal, but I'm pretty sure it's more like manufactured composite wood. The package arrived quicker than expected. Everything I needed was in the box, packaged very well, and with absolutely no defects or blemishes that I could find. The assembly was super easy with the panels and parts all being clearly labeled and with some partially pre-assembled pieces. There are stickers that "camouflage" the cam openings which are inconveniently placed on the outside of the table, which are kind of cheesy looking when covered with stickers, but where I have my table placed, they don't show. I was able to make use of the small space I have between my bed and wall to create a second "nightstand" work station that's the perfect height for me to reach my items, but also low enough to not be obvious when you enter the room... keeping my actual nightstand clean and clutter-free. Love the extra storage and outlet. Very convenient! The table only opens on one side. With a little redesign, this table could really be a gem if the cams were on the inside and the table opened on both sides. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. Good luck! ... show more

I love the look of these little tables! We bought 2 of them and when I opened the first one I was pleasantly surprised to see there wasn’t much to the instillation. Unfortunately, the second box was not packaged the same way and was done very poorly which left me searching for tiny parts through tons of styrofoam and packing paper. Otherwise, no complaints! The parts were all there, it didn’t take long to put together, they are sturdy and I love that it gives us the option to have an outlet right there in the table. Our son particularly loves them because his gaming headset does not have a very long charging cord. Now he can sit on the couch and still use his headset while it’s plugged in. In my opinion, these are a great value, and wonderful if you don’t have a huge space. We put them in between the ends of the couch and the wall so we needed something more narrow in order to leave enough room to walk through comfortably, they are perfect! ... show more

Because our living room is a bit small, we decided to grab one of these for my side of the sofa, as it sits between the sofa and a wall. It's slim, which is what we were looking for, and the built-in electrical outlets and USB ports are really an awesome feature. I can keep all my cables in the drawer and route them through the small hole off to the side for charging only when needed, and keep them hidden when not. Two issues that I think could make this better. 1. I wish that both sides of the table could be opened. The "back" piece is attached to the base does not flip up, only the front where the electrical outlets/USB are. It would have been nice to be able to do both sides with the attachment in the middle of the table. Due to this, it kind of makes the back unusable, as anything you stuff in there you have to open the front top, and reach back to get it. Not super easy to do while seated next to it. 2. Overall it's okay quality for the price. It's not going to wow you, but it's very much Ikea-style furniture, and that's the price you're paying. I don't have any issues with it, per say. It has not failed, but it's typical press board with a laminate over it, and hollow metal legs that have been powder coated. We also ordered the more standard (square) side table. Equal quality, suits our needs, works fine. Would buy again... and would buy again at a higher price with more robust materials used. ... show more

I purchased one of these when we redecorated our living room. I needed a standard height table to place next to a standard height accent chair and I didn't want to break the bank. I also wanted something slim that didn't take up a great deal of floor real estate or that was too boxy or chunky. I ended up ordering a second one simply because they are so functional and look pretty in our new living room. If you're looking for real wood, this isn't it, but the finish is exactly what was pictured. They are actually pretty sturdy and have some extra nice little features. The adjustable feet ensure that they don't wobble on our old hardwood floors. The cord management hole ensures that I don't have to keep opening and closing the lid to access phone charging cords and allows me to hide a lamp cord easily. They are easy to assemble. It took about 20 minutes to assemble this without a 2nd person. They are carefully packaged for shipping and have easy-to-understand assembly instructions. I would highly recommend these tables. So happy with this end table! It is exactly the right size for where I wanted it - the How Will It Look feature was spot on! It came very well packed, and I was delighted by the quality of the table materials and the packaging. Having put together a LOT of furniture, the tolerances on this assembly were outstanding. The hardware package was even easy to open in addition to being well-organized. The directions were clear & easy, though I would recommend putting on the feet in step 2 while it is lying on its side and is a little lighter without the top. Speaking of the feet, I LOVE that they are leveling feet. I have this table on rug & hardwood, it is perfectly sturdy between the 2 surfaces. The compartment is quite roomy, and the groove on the side to bring your charging cord out is a thoughtful touch. The cord is plenty long for our space. I had this put together in less than 20 minutes with a screw gun. It really is a nice little table & I definitely recommend!! ... show more

I LOVE this side table. It is seriously the best side table we've ever gotten (and we've gone through quite a few over the years). I bought this one to fit between a loveseat and the end wall inside the living room slide of our RV. It is a tight squeeze but works and gives me a place to easily set my laptop every time I need to get up. But hands down the best feature is the lift up lid that hides electric plug in receptacles where I now keep my laptop plugged in. I also keep my two external hard drives inside it (which are plugged into a USB port) and just run my USB port's cord and laptop power cord through the handy opening at the side of the table (it's not a hole, more like a half hole cut smoothly into the top edge of the table's side so the table top/lid can shut completely without squishing your power cords).
