  • Love it so far
Size: 26x1.75-Inch Color: Black
I've only had the tire in use for a few days, so I can't yet comment on durability, but I can say three things: 1) tire seems to be very solid, well-constructed and beautifully finished; 2) installation was ridiculously simple, way simpler than installing a regular tire (I did it by hand in less than a minute, without tire levers); and 3) the tire rides very quietly. So far, I am delighted with the purchase. ... show more

  • Perfect tire for a turbo trainer
Size: 26x1.75-Inch Color: Black
I’ve been using regular tires on my indoor trainer. But they are noisy. I found this tire. It was fairly easy to mount. Much less noise. A great solution

  • Awesome trainer tire.
Size: 700 x 32mm Color: Black
The tire is foldable and signicantly lighter than my Bontrager hard case lite tire. It installed without levers. It is super smooth on the trainer and ultra quiet. I hear my chain more than the tire. Only ridden a couple time so I cannot speak to the durability. But I can confirm there is zero tire dust. I also have not been able to slip on the rollers like I did with my street tire. It is a bit pricy.....but it also does not have the toy look of red, yellow, or blue like other trainer tires. ... show more

  • Nice suprise.
Size: 26x1.75-Inch Color: Black
I got this because it was the fattest trainer tire I could find for my rim and it was significantly thinner than the tires I bought the bike with. It still fit the .75 ID of the rim and when fully aired up it is actually a nice profile. I don't ever intend to do any actualy dirt riding with my dirt bike since I'm just an old fat guy that needs exercise so it really helped me decide to buy similar sized street tires for my bike so I can ride more in the warm months. Oh, it works really well and very quiet on the trainer I have. I have seen some people destroy their trainer tires on trainers and I have a tip that might save a lot of grief. I adjust the force on the trainer only to the point that it does not slip and no further. I work a lot in industry and the thing I find most infuriating is the amount of force people tighten things to the point of breaking them when it's not called for and more damaging than secure. Just enough is the right amount. Don't torque it down like you're putting on a tire on your car. It's not going anywhere. It just needs to not slip. Don't be a gorilla to your toys. ... show more

  • Good Tire.
Size: 700 x 32mm Color: Black
Been using this tire for a little over 2 months now, and have put about 300 miles on it. That's not much for the time period, but I've only started using it after torn meniscus surgery, and it's been a slow recovery. I have to say that the tire has performed well since the start. I purchased it (700 x 32mm) as a 'used-very good' item from the Warehouse, and so far, it has been living up to the Continental brand name. Easy to install; I have a 23mm wide rim that normally seats a 40c tire, and this fit perfectly. Noise level is surprisingly low while on the trainer; I expected louder. I can be peddling in the same room with the family watching TV, and they don't have to turn up the volume any louder than they normally would. Tire looked in good shape for the advertised condition. It actually looked unused and really just like old stock. Construction seems pretty good, and it appears like it would hold up for many miles to come. Will have to put some more hundreds of miles on it to see if/when it starts to break down. All in all, so far it seems like a good buy. ... show more

  • Very Smooth & Quiet When New, Not Super Durable
Size: 700 x 23 Color: Black
I bought my first Hometrainer tire in 1/2018, my second in 1/2024. I am not a big trainer user. I live in the Mid-Atlantic where winters are relatively mild and snow is increasingly rare, so I'm able to ride outdoors through most of the winter. I have a bike that I leave on the trainer. I top off the pressure in the tire to 100PSI when I need to use the trainer, and I leave the pressure roller in position 100% of the time. This fall I noticed that the edge of the tread had started to lift from the tire casing in places (see attached photo), and the ride was not as smooth and quiet as I remembered from past winters, so I decided to order a replacement, and I had my first trainer session with the new tire today. The difference was obvious. So my message is, it's a great tire for its purpose, but don't count on it lasting forever. You will need to replace the tire periodically if smooth and quiet matter to you. It's possible that leaving the pressure roller in position all the time contributed to the wear rate, I can't say. If you're budget conscious, then probably you should release the pressure roller after each ride, and maybe even deflate the tire manually if you're going a few weeks between trainer sessions. If you're a hardcore Zwiftie, keeping the tire pressurized and the roller pressed onto the tire is the way to go, just for convenience of setup. ... show more

  • Perfect Tire for Indoor Trainers
Size: 700 x 23 Color: Black
The Continental Ultra Sport hometrainer tire was exactly what I needed to get a smooth, quiet and pleasurable indoor training experience with my new Kurt Kinetic Road Machine trainer. The tire is extremely smooth and incredibly durable--I've put probably a couple hundred miles already on the tire and trainer and I have yet to see any residue whatsoever left on the roller (ironically, there is a fine silverish band on the tire where the contact patch runs, as if the roller were wearing more than the tire!). Note to do-it-yourselfers, it probably did not help at all that this tire was the first ever tire I tried to install on my own on a bike, but I had one incredibly difficult time installing this, ended up blowing an inner tube and then surrendering and taking it to my LBS who was able to make it look as easy as icing cake, so experience most definitely helps and your mileage will almost certainly vary when attempting to get this thing installed on the wheel, but once it's on, it is most definitely all business. I will not hesitate one bit to purchase another one of these down the road when my current one eventually wears down and this is hands-down the number one thing I will recommend to friends who inquire about using an indoor trainer--this tire is an indispensable component of anyone's indoor trainer setup! -Ed ... show more
