These are my favorite tires for races. This is the first time I go tubeless and love it so far. I personally dislike installing tires so I had a local bike shop do it so installation was easy for them. These tires are extremely durable and have ridden over 1000 miles with previous ones. Only changed them for an upcoming race there was no tire damage. They always look nice and have a solid grip to them.

I recently upgraded from 21mm Continental Gatorskin tires to the 28mm Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR tires, and the difference is incredible! I also installed Continental race inner tubes at the same time. As a relatively new rider, I was a bit nervous about the installation, but these tires went on surprisingly easily. The most noticeable improvement is the rolling resistance. I can feel a real difference in how smoothly and efficiently I'm moving. My hills, which used to be a real struggle, are now noticeably easier to climb. The ride quality is also significantly more comfortable, absorbing road vibrations and bumps much better than my old tires. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. If you're looking to improve your ride comfort and efficiency, I highly recommend the Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR tires. They've made a huge difference for me!

Replaced the same model rear tire after 6000+ miles. I don't recommend this type of mileage as it was clearly overdue for replacement. Furthermore, I only weigh 140 pounds. I think 4000 miles might be a reasonable expectation. During that 6000 miles I had one very small pinhole leak that sealed itself during a ride. (I use Stan's sealant.) Toward the end, I had a larger leak that would not completely seal. I continued to ride it for several days, losing 20 psi overnight, then replaced. I previously rode Gatorskins with tubes which lasted longer but are heavier and higher rolling resistance. The 5000 is a great medium to high performance tire. A good compromise of performance and durability.

Low rolling resistance. Great tire probably one of the best road bike tires you can get if you’re using them for a commuter go ahead and get yourself some 32 wide tires.

1. Switch from tubes to these was amazing. Much smoother ride. I can feel the difference in rolling reisistance. And like all Conti tires they handle great on the road. Highly recommend.

I just upgraded to new carbon wheels (rim brake) and got these. This is the first time I've done tubeless on my road bike. I've been tubeless on my gravel and MTB wheels. I've used Conti GP5000 for over a decade, and it has always proved reliable. Mounting on the rim took a little effort using only one tire lever. The garage was cold (it's winter), and it may have been easier during warmer months. I added the sealant, and they've held air pretty well. I've ridden them on about 70-75 PSI, and they help smooth the road, especially with the carbon rims and spoke combo. I haven't had a chance to ride them on rougher roads but overall, very satisified with them.
