The kids love it! I ordered as an activity in a therapy office and even some of the adults have played. The kids love to spin the columns. The spin at the end of each turn adds a fun element. We add new rules to make it more challenging since you can put the checkers anywhere on the board. It's a bit of a paint to have to unload, but worth it. ... show more

When I bought this, I thought it was just a gimmick but it honestly takes connect 4 to another fun level. I played it at first with my husband and it was hilarious! The constant changing of the game board by spinning makes for a good challenge strategywise but it's not so challenging that it would frustrate someone already familiar with the rules and game play of regular connect 4. After several attempts to play with my 5 year old nephew, I would strongly suggest that you start with regular connect four for players under 6. That being said, he had lots of fun spinning the columns- so much so he wanted to spin even when he wasn't playing. I saw an adult couple playing this in a YouTube short and just KNEW our grandkids would live it! We already have the original, stationary version but this one with the flipping and clicking is so much more fun! The grans are 7&9, very bright and competitive.
