I ordered the 6 unit set and am very happy with the quality and construction of these packing cubes. I pack my luggage pretty snuggly and had hoped that the compression bags would give me more space but that feature doesn’t really work for me since I pack the cubes full. There just isn’t enough loft in the clothing to compress enough for the compression zipper to close. I used to use gallon ziplock bags to do the same thing and they worked better for compression purposes but don't fit into your luggage as neatly. If I ever needed more packing cubes, I wouldn’t order the compression cubes again but would absolutely order packing cubes from this company because the quality is great. And by the way, the shoe bag is not too small to fit shoes as another post stated. They fit large shoes just fine.

These are very light weight. I have not used them for a trip. but I did take out all our towels from the hall closet. wash clothes, hand towels, and bath towels. I wanted to simulate how they would work when I table. Pretty cook. My wife and I will both use these. Here is our plan. each of us will take one med size packing compression cube and pack several outfits. the before we leave, we will give each other one bag. and we will put it in out luggage. This was if one of our bags gets lost, each of us will have a back up set of clothes. Once we arrive to our vacation spot, we will give back our single bags.

These cubes are perfect for organizing your clothing for travel and to fit more items into your luggage. I used all six for a recent trip to NYC and divided them into our two carry on bags. I purchased the set of 6 so we each had three. I was able to fit 2 sweaters, 2 thermals, 3 long sleeve shirts, 3 short sleeve t-shirts, 3 pairs of pants, benies, thick socks, underwear, and a pair of shorts into three of them for my husband's 22 inch carry on. This made me have more room to be able to pack his leather jacket, an impermeable jacket, a pair of dress shoes AND a small toiletry bag. I honesly wish I had taken pictures because I could not believe it myself. It was pretty much the same for my three cubes. I love them so much I am getting another set for our next trip so we can each have a set.

I had plans to purchase compression bags after taking some time to do more reviews, but something unexpected came up. I was thinking I would go for bags that were more expensive, but thought these would do as a starter set. Turns out these were excellent. Packed gear for a snowmobiling weekend and was able to get everything I needed into a carry on. My wife had plans for two suit cases, but after seeing what I did, she asked if we could get another set before we left. We did, and she was able to do the same. They do a great job, and yes there is some bowing at the center of the bag. I've seen some reviews that didn't expect that, but it is going to happen. You can minimize some of it by how well you then pack then into your luggage. Overall I think they are excellent. I can only hope the zippers have a long life and are durable. We shall see. The only negative I have is the shoe bag. Its pretty much worthless unless the shoes are for maybe a 7 year old. I suggest planning not to use this set for shoes. Just pack your socks inside your shoes and find something to put them in. With my first use being all winter gear getting compacted as well as it did, and even with the shoe bag issue, I am still good with 5 stars . Considering most airlines now charge for checked bags, these pay for themselves in two trips. Long term this can reduce cost of travel, and remove the risk of your airline losing your checked luggage and ruining your trip.

I ordered these packing cubes to compare them with my Gonex compression cubes I have had since 2021. I decided to return them because in the end they were too comparable to the Gonex cubes. If I didn’t have the Gonex cubes already then I would’ve kept these. In the end I just didn’t feel I needed two sets of compression cubes and since there was nothing technically wrong with the Gonex cubes other than the non full zipper opening and the very sticky zipper issues, which I would consider annoying but not deal breaker. The reason I ordered these in the first place was to see if they compressed smaller than the Gonex cubes, they were about the same. I also loved that they opened full vs. the Gonex ones which only open 2/3rds or so of the way around. I also found the zippers to be slightly smoother than the Gonex ones. Another thing to consider is what size bags you will use the most. If you don’t need the extra large size that comes with the Gonex set then this set will work you. The largest bag in this set is slightly larger than the medium set that comes in the Gonex set. The smallest bags in this set are a long rectangular size where as the Gonex set is While I did do the comparison testing I realized that it is better to slightly under fill them.

I bought these for the compression feature. As soon as they arrived, I packed the largest cube (level to the top) with clean laundry. I zipped the cover closed, but even when I kneeled on it, I could not zip the "compression zipper" even halfway. So basically, for that zipper to work, you can't fill the cube. These are really attractive, well-made packing cubes in great sizes and shapes, and they even match my suitcase. But they don't compress, and I already have bunch of regular packing cubes, so I'm returning these. In summary, I recommend these as packing cubes, but they won't help you fit more into your suitcase.
