This was my fourth attempt to replace my 4-year-old DJ2GO2. The new DJ2GO2 had crackling line noise and wasn't ok for performances. I sent it back and got another of the same, which had the same issue. Then I tried the Pioneer DDJ-200 but it has no audio out. This one has everything I need. I docked a star because they chose to spend money on a cheesy "light show" and I would rather have higher quality sliders instead. Decided to take the plunge into DJing and got this while I was waiting on my backordered FLX 4 to arrive. At first it seemed fine and maybe that would still be my opinion had this been the only controlled I'd used. To say it is the worst is probably an exaggeration and for the price it's okay. It lacks many features commonly found on other cheap decks but has enough to pass. I like that it was fairly easy to pick it up and figure out what I was doing. It is small and light which makes it very portable and works well for simple mixing. Anything beyond the very basics however and the flaws become instantly glaring and impassable. My biggest gripes are: -The loop function is very restrictive -FX is pad only and difficult to manipulate and control -Missing control for mid frequencies (this was the biggest issue I didn't know I was missing until I had it) If you're looking for something just to play some music at a house party or something this will probably work for you. If you're looking to learn and grow this will not give you long enough before feeling dissatisfied and wanting better to justify the money saved. ... show more

Used for a couple gigs so far, works great. I love having the built in speakers for practicing. They’re not loud enough for a performance, and the lights are a gimmick. Solid feel on all the sliders and buttons.

This is a neat controller . Iv seen some people receive a faulty controller. Mine came in has all the knobs and works like a charm. I have the version one but the v2 is way better. It took me a while to figure out that the jog wheels are touch sensitive. So if your trying to beat match your songs you have to use the side of the wheels unless it’s going to scratch. My only complaint is the loop function. It’s pretty jenky higher quality controllers let you adjust the size of your loops on this controller you have pre set loops and it can be trick to get a good loop in. Other than that, If you get good at mixing on this board with the crappy free software you can mix on any board. It’s definitely usable probably need a upgrade if you plan on mixing for events. Really depends on the dj itself. 9/10 it’s allways the dj not the equipment ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Awesome little DJ deck. The lights are kinda cool as well. Works great with the software Serato. Pretty sure the lights flash to the beat of the music when using Serato. You could easily use this at a wedding, house party, or whatever get together where music is necessary:) ... show more

    • Fun DJ Controller for amateur and beginning DJs

Bought this so I could do a Sock Hop for our HOA's Social Committee. It's easy to set up and is immediately recognized by my PC laptop and the DJ software that I am using. Serato DJ Lite is included with this controller. However, I am using Mixxx DJ software and it works very well with this controller. The party lights only work with the Serato software if you want them to change with the beat of the music. I just turn them off. The scratch pads work smoothly, but have just a little bit of 'bounce' when trying to cue up a track: You cue it to the exact spot you want, then when you remove your finger, it 'bounces back' a tiny bit. It's not significant, but if you were a pro it would be quite annoying. For the amateur, it's really not a problem. I wish the cross fader had a touch more resistance to it to make slower fades a bit smoother. But, again, for an amateur, it's really not a problem. This controller is fun to use, and if you are just beginning to DJ it's a great learning tool for a very low price. As you advance, a more expensive controller with more features and higher quality components will be appreciated even more. ... show more
