Features
- READ BEFORE USING: DO NOT USE THE LARGER OUTER BEARINGS FOR GENERAL ORIENTATION PURPOSES. DOING SO WILL CAUSE READINGS TO BE OFF BY 180. THE OUTER CARD IS TO BE USED AS A "DIRECTION OF TRAVEL" COMPASS.
- Large Ball Compass - Easy to read ball compass shows two readings. Look directly down on the top (smaller card) of compass to view general orientation cardinal points. Hold compass up to eye level and view larger side card for "direction-of-travel" compass.
- Easy-to-Read Thermometer - Cushion-mounted thermometer provides an "at-a-glance" temperature. Thermometer reads down to a chilly -20F or -30C. Perfect for outdoors, camping, backpacking, or hunting.
- Handy Carabiner Clip - Carabiner allows you to clip TempaComp onto any gear of your choice. From hiking and camping gear to backpacking and climbing, the TempaComp is the perfect accessory for your adventure. Just clip and go!
- Split Ring Included - TempaComp comes with a split ring so you can attach to your zipper or keychain. One of the essential EDC survival accessories for outdoorsmen/women, hunters, or boy scouts.

Nice, but the clip is awkward. Seems like it's backwards and hard to apply to gear.

I couldn't rate accuracy and easy-to-read above, because it depends on which functionality you're talking about. The compass is easy to read and accurate. But the thermometer is so tiny I struggle to read it. I generally don't carry a magnifying glass when hiking! The thermometer also reads at least 4° too warm, so I'll have to mentally subtract degrees whenever I look at it.

Compass seems to work okay, although it's not immediately clear how to read it, which requires you to ignore the larger, external letters and focus on the smaller internal ones. The thermometer is wildly inaccurate. It is currently reporting a temperature of approximately 90 degrees Fahrenheit in my 70 degree apartment on a 66 degree day. I purchased to replace a carabiner I use to hold my keys; the one I have is climbing-grade and works very well, hooking into one of my belt loops easily. This construct, on the other hand, mounts the ball compass on the same side that the latch opens, meaning you can't actually fit anything more than a few millimeters wide into the opening. As such, I cannot get it onto my belt loop. I had a pretty low expectations, and yet I am still thoroughly disappointed.

Easy to use and works exactly as expected. Not strong, but didn’t expect it to be. Compass moves easily and is the best ball compass I’ve used. Thermometer seems to work fine as well, and matched other thermometers for accuracy. Product handles submersion in fresh water just fine. I personally wouldn’t use it for map reading, and it isn’t super intuitive unless you tell the user how it works. Bought several as gifts, all work equally well. It now lives on my bag.

Works well. The thermometer is so small its very difficult to read. Also the opening hinge of the caribiner makes clipping and removing the tool somewhat difficult. Overall the large compass was easy to understand and I like the feature of knowing what direction I'm traveling as well as the direction of true North. I've dropped it several times and feared that it would crack or shatter but to my surprise it's pretty durable thus far.
