Description

High Energy Hydraulic lifters have a patented constant orifice metering valve that precisely meters oil to the rocker arms. Continuous contact between the metering valve and pushrod seat is maintained, eliminating excessive oiling at high engine speeds. The pushrod seat is made of a special powdered metal iron alloy that is heat-treated for strength and wear resistance. In addition, High Energy Lifters have a lightweight check valve disc that allows for quicker response, which results in increased engine speed before valve float. This check valve disc also maintains added control at all engine speeds and loads. COMP Cams High Energy Hydraulic Lifters also contain a longer piston than conventional hydraulic lifters, which provides more load bearing surface and increases lifter longevity.

These are exact replacement items for Land Rover Discover II 4.6 lifters! Keep in mind the Land Rover 4.6 is a buick (gm) 215 v8. Way cheaper than OEM, better quality than OEM. Its Comp Cams! Love them, can't argue nearly $100 over stock junk priced options.

Worked great in my Buick riviera with the 430 motor. Prior to installation I let them soak in oil for 2 days. Also made sure to prime my oil pump again. Just Incase. Had them in for about a week so far and no issues

4 lifters and four Comp Cam lobes wipes out at 13 miles. Break in went fine, nothing to speak of in the break in oil or the filter element. Drove 10 miles , all ok. Fired it up the next weekend, made it three miles and she started coughing and farting. Done with Comp Cams.
