I can’t recommend these bottles enough - Godsend. I only wish I had discovered these bottles sooner. My baby took to the nipple so easily too! Such a relief! We have had zero problems with leaking. We used Dr. Brown’s glass and plastic bottles. The plastic bottles were light weight and our daycare did not allow glass bottles. The benefit of having glass was mainly to avoid microplastics but you can’t avoid plastic with the other parts the Dr. Browns bottles have. They are so heavy too and feeding my girl every 1.5- 2 hrs became painful on my wrist and thumb. Also they are SO time consuming to wash. We dreaded “bottle service” because of all the tiny parts that had to be carefully washed. A pain in the butt! These bottles solved every problem. They are so light weight, a breeze to clean due to the wide neck, are soft and durable, and best of all the high grade silicone material contains no BPA, PVC, and phthalates. I won’t be concerned when my girl begins to hold her own bottle soon about her dropping or breaking a glass bottle or having to hold such a heavy bottle! The dual anti-colic vents are effective too without being a hassle to clean! We warm these bottles in our bottle warmer under the silica setting so an 8 oz bottle takes about 8 minutes to warm. Not a big deal. The website says to replace the bottles every 6 months but with daily use this isn’t an inconvenience either. Keep in mind because it’s such a wide mouth bottle the milk won’t fill the nipple unless you place it at a ~70 degree angle or so to get every last drop. My baby doesn’t mind. Something else to mention is if you don’t wash the vents properly the bottle may collapse when your baby suckles. So, if this happens to you don’t be alarmed. Just make sure to run water into the vents after washing the nipple and it won’t happen.

Baby Review + Comparison to other bottles/nipples as well as explanation on complain on leaks. Baby Background: Full term baby. Had trouble latching for much of the first month. Had to find a bottle that did not interfere with learning to nurse. Bottle use for pumped milk and occasional formula. No issues. Overall. Pros: Worked better with Baby trying to Latch. Easy to clean. Soft and comfortable. At 1-2.5 months i could balance the bottle with the chin or between chin and should for hands free feeding. Cons: Round so it tips and rolls away easily. Whoops. But its soft, so no worries. Just gotta rinse the tip and there you go again (at home). If you don't check the nipple installation it may leak and if it leaks, it will run a small river down your baby and your arm. Check for leaks. (tips below) *** Comparison to other bottles we tried My baby didn't deal with colic. Started with Dr Browns and Comotomos. He loved the Dr. Browns but it flowed too quick and he regressed in his breastfeeding. He choked on the Philips Avents, too fast. And the medela Calmas were too long and he choked on those too. If you have free samples or hand me downs, it could also be he got used to the comotomos, so the others seemed fast. ***Transition to Medium flow at 3.5 months Baby just upgraded to Comotomo Medium flow at 3.5 months. Noticed, when he started to stop having boughts of chugging and seemed to ALWAYS be distracted during feedings (every feeding). We had tried the medium flow at 3 months and he choked a few times. But then he started needing more breaks when eating with the slowflow and the medium flow allowed him to eat at the pace he wanted. ***Why it can leak --- User Error rather than Design Error Can leak if not properly attached. Bottle set up comes in 3 pieces (4 including cap). Rubber nipple, nipple holder and bottle. You stick the nipple into the nipple holder, Can be done with one hand but if it doesn't load completely in, it will leak. Its pretty obvious if you check but as any newborn parent is a bit too tired, you'll catch yourself with a leaky bottle every once in a while. Quick was to check. Pop in nipple. Screw on top. It should be a semi-sealed when you screw it on, aside from the vents. If you poke the top, you should feel resistance as a little air comes out the vents. If you hear or feel air come out easily through the sides, that means you didn't seal it right and it will leak. User error, not design error. People who complain about leaks never learned to properly attach the nipple or got a rare defective product.

After trying several different brands and types of baby bottles, this one is the winner by a long shot. In summary, they have the magic combination of being both vented AND easy to clean. Let me explain... Due to some challenges with nursing we have been feeding our little one exclusively from bottles (with pumped breast milk), so we have had plenty of opportunity to try different bottles! The first bottles we used were non-venting, which turned out to be a big mistake. By the time our little one was a few weeks old she had developed such a strong suck that she would create a vacuum inside inside the bottle as she drank, which would cause the nipple slowly to collapse. Several times each feeding we would have to pull the nipple gently to one side of her mouth to break the seal and allow the nipple to re-expand. Obviously these mid-feed interruptions did not make her happy! Next we tried a well-known brand of vented bottles which vent via a thin tube that extends all the way down through the center of the bottle. Although these bottles solved the suction problem, each one had four separate pieces, two of which contained tiny internal tubes. Cleaning all these small parts was cumbersome to say the least, and the thought of doing it multiple times per day filled me with a sense of despair I just couldn’t shake. There had to be a vented bottle that wasn’t so difficult to clean! Enter the Comotomo bottle (accompanied by rays of sunshine and a renewed sense of hope). This was the answer! What makes this bottle so great? 1. The bottle is vented very simply, via two tiny “valves” on the sides of the nipple, so the whole bottle has just THREE pieces: the bottle itself, a nipple, and a plastic ring which secures the nipple to the bottle. No small parts to get lost! 2. The wide-mouth design and lack of tiny tubes make these VERY easy to clean. 3. The lightly textured silicone body has a non-slip quality which makes the bottle easy to grip. 4. They don’t leak (at least, WE have never had a problem with them leaking) 5. They have a cool, modern design (this is subjective and a matter of opinion, but still…). I can really only find one “negative” to these bottles, and it’s really not so much a fault but rather a characteristic due to their shape. As the bottle’s contents are being consumed, if the bottle is held at a 45-degree angle or so, the last bit of liquid will pool at the top-side of the bottle instead of flowing into the nipple (see my photo). This isn’t a big deal, as all you have to do is tilt the bottle more upright briefly and the liquid will move into the nipple, but it is something to watch as the bottle gets close to empty. Oh, and it’s not obvious from the product photos, but these bottles DO have volume markings on them. They are inconspicuous but still easy to read. We are VERY happy with these bottles.

I was completely exited to get this because the reviews. I must confess that I am not super amazed with the product now. I enjoy the design. But it does not seem to do lots of difference from the tummy Tommee Tippee for my baby. • Good quality • Easy to clean, my hand fits on it just fine. • I like that keeps the milk warm longer than other bottles. • Good flow (mine is medium) • My baby seems to enjoy the soft material of the nipple. • Good to switch breast and bottle. My baby is fine with both. • No leaks My baby is 2 ½ months he is able to hold it with some help it but it seems heavy for him . The anti-colic nipple gives me the impression to not do lots for my little one, but I am not sure because I switch between breast and bottle. Easy for mom but does not quit fits on my baby bag, keep in mind that is wider that other brands. This bottle does the job just fine. Your friends and family will love the design. I ----------------------------------- Update my baby is 12 months now. My baby adores this baby bottle he enjoys the soft feeling. However, mom wasn’t happy . I washed the baby bottle after every use. But at night time after my baby will empty it, the powder milk residues will stick to the silicone. It looks like bubbles around the silicone. It became difficult to clean them after sitting there for night time. Even the creases in the nipple will get the same residues and no matter how hard I will brush or how long time I will sterilize them, they just did not come out. I had to use my finger nail or even the knife to get rid of the sediment. So sad, this never happened to me in the 5 ounce it seems it’s a problem only with the 8 ounce version. Pay lots attention and check your nipples often too. If you use it at night pour some clean water and rinsed asap to prevent this condition. I am using another baby bottle for night time and this for the day.

When I first started looking into bottles for my exclusively breast-fed baby, I had a lot of reservations about possible problems I might encounter, from nipple confusion to nursing strikes. We didn't introduce a bottle to our little guy, who is now about 4.5 months old, until he was a little over 2 months old -- and he only gets a bottle when absolutely necessary (which is maybe a couple of ounces once or twice a day at the babysitter's, as I'm able to come nurse him every day at lunch). I had read lots of info about techniques for introducing a bottle to a breast-fed baby, and on things you want to look for in a bottle (slow-flow nipples are one major criterion), I can now report that we've been very pleased with the Comotomo bottle, 4-ounce size. I love the hand-feel of it -- which is pliable, similar to an actual breast (though not flimsy) -- and the wide mouth, both for my son to flange his lips as he would on the breast AND for ease of pouring in milk that I've pumped. I purchased two of these, along with two of the 4-oz LifeFactory bottles with slow-flow nipples, so we could have two different brands to try and see which my son would prefer. I really wanted BOTH brands to work, because I liked innovative shape and texture of the Comotomo, which more closely replicates the feel of baby's hands on the breast when he has to take the bottle. But I also liked the idea of a fully inert substance like glass, and we have LifeFactory water bottles for ourselves. The Comotomo has been much more successful, however, in part because the slow-flow nipple actually flows MUCH more slowly than the LifeFactory's. I had read about differences in what "slow-flow" could really mean -- but I was very surprised by just how *fast* milk comes out of the LifeFactory bottles' slow-flow nipples. My husband and I did a side-by-side comparison with water in the bottles, and the Lifefactory bottles are like a fast-dripping leaky sink faucet, with liquid coming out at least twice as fast as in the Comotomo. I think that, combined with the narrower base of the Lifefactory bottle, conspired to cause my little guy to choke and gag when we tried to feed him from the LifeFactory bottle. The Comotomo bottle, by contrast, worked from the first try -- though warning to other mothers out there who are trying to exclusively breastfeed, and use bottles as little as possible: The very first time my son got the bottle, he took it and drank from it without a problem for about 5+ minutes -- but then he started really crying, and I had to nurse him. I think it was because he realized something about that special ritual of nursing was different. However, that was the only time it happened ... He'll take a bottle, though he doesn't prefer it, and he usually drinks just enough to tide him over until I'm back to nurse him again. But for all the reasons I mentioned -- the unique shape and feel of the Comotomo, which makes the experience a bit closer to being at the breast; the slow-flow nipples that actually ARE slow-flow; the wide base and opening -- I've been very happy with the Comotomo, and it's the only bottle I've been using. The cap also clicks on easily (and stays on well, but is also easy to get off -- another peccadillo with the LifeFactory, which I feel I have to press down really hard to click on). We do plan to keep the LifeFactory bottles, though, and use them once my son has started drinking other liquids, as you can swap out the nipple top for a sippee-style top. I don't think Comotomo has such an option (though I'm not sure).

LOVE THEM !!! I’ve always bought glass bottles for all of my 3 babies. Always bought Avent wide nipple bottles and was very satisfied with them, except for the fact that they would leak every once in a while. But my NB was having gas issues so decided to try Dr Browns. I avoided it as much as i could since the valve seems too complicated and high maintenance. They worked like a charm and loved them until they all (6 of them) started leaking like crazy 2 months in. No matter what I did or didn’t do they would leak. It was very frustrating especially during night feedings when I would end up having to change my baby’s clothes due to their Pjs being soaked with milk. So decided to give ComoTomo a chance based on the wonderful reviews. Like I said I have always preferred glass bottles, to me is the cleanest material possible. But since the nipples are made out of silicone anyway I think what’s the difference if the bottle is too. I’m ao glad that I decided to give them a chance. I LOVE THEM !!!! They just don’t leak, they are easy to clean. No complicated valves. There are a couple of things that I have to say I’m not a fan of: the silicone makes it very hard to read the ounces, I have to be very focused to get it right (that can be hard at 2am sometimes) and the fact that it’s impossible to make more than 6 ounces of formula right there in the bottle. The bottle only goes up to 8 oz but it’s basically at the same level as the top of the bottle so no way you can fill it up with 8 oz (not even 7oz) and be able to add the necessary formula. It would spill out. My two oldest kids were having 10oz feeds at some point and the Avent bottles were great for that. These bottles can’t handle that much milk. I wish they’d make a larger bottle. Other than that it really is a wonderful product.
