  • Knock off product, Not genuine 3M
Size: 36 Refill Strips
I have been using 3M removable hooks since 2007 to hang my Christmas decorations. I follow the directions to a T. I adhere the tape/hook to the wall and wait 24 hours for it to cure. This product sold by Amazon, I believe is counterfeit. After following the directions, this tape slid off the wall and took the paint off, next to the genuine 3M tape that stayed on the wall. The packaging is very suspect. It arrives in a ziploc style bag with the 3M cardboard label OUTSIDE the bag. It comes in a white mailer pouch. There is nothing like that on the commercial market. Buyer beware. ... show more

  • Worked great! Used for hanging pot lids.
Size: 9 Hooks
These are very sturdy and easy to apply. Live in an apartment and these were just the thing to hang pot lids on cabinet doors without damage. Placed one wrong and had to peel it off, so already know it won’t wreck the cabinets. The medium size was good for this purpose.

  • Holds up well.
Size: 20 Hooks
We recently moved into a new place with lots of blinds with cords. We have a very adventurous toddler so we knew we had to do something about them. I found the idea online to try these command hooks and they work great. I've used this brand before to put up pictures in previous apartments and when we moved, out of 12, 2 pulled a little paint off of the wall. You need to make sure you get the right hook for the right job or else it will eventually fail. Overall really happy with these hooks. ... show more

  • Won’t stick for long
Size: 20 Hooks
I bought these a while back. Used a few and so far they keep coming off the wall. Mind you, I’m not hanging heavy items or constantly placing and removing items. Very frustrating. They last maybe a month and a half before they just fall to the floor on their own. I love command products and I have several in my home, these are the only ones falling off. I have the exact same model that have been in place for at least 2 years and those are still put, even though those are handled by my toddler twins when trying to hand their things. Those hooks I bought in the small packages of 3 and 6. My guess is either the quality went down hill since, or the value pack is more but lesser quality adhesive, or I got lemons. Regardless, not satisfied at all. I should see if I can return. ... show more

  • Horrible--Not even close to the original product--
Size: 36 Refill Strips
We've used command hooks in the past to hang various things in our apartment (backpacks, umbrellas, pictures, bike helmets....) and we loved them and never had an issue. We recently moved and ordered these refills and they are HORRIBLE. Everything has fallen--the picture frame, the backpack, the bike helmet... I constantly hear a noice only to find something else has fallen. These replacements can't hold anything!! Are these a knockoff?? ... show more

  • I would say I love these, but they have been falling recently
Size: 9 Hooks
I would say I love these, but they have been falling recently. I use them to hang small baskets in my closet to put socks in. I use three hooks per basket that is like 10 inches long. Each basket has like no more than 10 or so pairs of socks, and the baskets themselves arent that heavy. But of the 12 hooks I am using, 4 have fallen off the wall within the first month of using them. Maybe its the wall or the paint on the wall. But I know it isnt the weight. They will probably work on a better surface than a painted wall. They work well when they stick on the wall, but mine just keep falling off. ... show more

  • Tips and Helpful Advice! DAMAGE-FREE solution when the strip breaks off!!
Size: 20 Hooks
So, a couple of things. Tip 1: These are better used on drywall that has been painted with a eggshell, satin, or semi-gloss paint. My room is painted with eggshell paint and tested it with a bag hooked onto it that is over 5 lbs for over two days. I know people usually have these stuck to the wall for a year or more but I wasn't about to test a command hook for that long just for a review, haha. I didn't clean the surface before I stuck it on the wall or do any kind of prep work. I simply pressed the hook onto the wall with pressure similar to when you are smoothing over a sticker flat onto paper (that's the best analogy I could think of, haha). After two days, I unhooked the hook part and pulled down the tab and it came off cleanly. Anything that is matte or flat paint will have a higher chance of paint getting chipped off when removing the hook. Tip 2: Any kind of glossy surface or hi-shine area that a command hook is stuck onto, may not stick on as well. It's a possibility so keep it in mind. Any surface that is pebbled and not entirely flat too. Think like those cement walls that have been painted over with that super glossy and smooth paint you see in school buildings. That paint and/or surface will not work all that well with the hooks. It may at first but I believe over time, it will eventually lose its grip. Tip 2: If you're using OLD command strips (never used strips that you just kept for future use or in storage that are over a year old) then the likelihood of them breaking or ripping apart increases before being able to remove the hook from the wall. The white strips are made partly from foam material. Over time, this foam material will deteriorate and won't work as well when it comes time to removing them. I suggest buying new command strips on a as-needed basis if you want to reuse the hooks. But if you still want to use or have used old strips then read on below for a trick that will remove strips when they've broken off. Tip 3: If you have a command hook that has been up on a wall for a really long time. Say at least over a year or more, and the command strip breaks before you get to remove it completely. DON'T force the adhesive off by pulling or prying it off by slipping a flat tool in between the strip and the wall to peel it off. That will most DEFINITELY peel paint and more from the walls. Here's a great solution without having to DAMAGE your wall and still get the hook to come off. Take either dental floss or fishing line to see-saw the strip material off from the wall. Saw in between the strip from the wall. See-saw the floss/line all the way through the strip until it is mostly off the wall. Don't stop mid-way and think you can pull the rest off with your hand. Once you've sawed off most of the strip material from the wall the plastic back is now off the wall but there will probably still be some strip material attached to the wall but it will mostly be the adhesive material that's still attached. Bunch up a corner from the BOTTOM (not left side, right side or ever the top) until your fingers can find a good grip on the bunched up adhesive and slowly pull the adhesive part down. If the strip was up on the wall for a long time, the adhesive part may still break apart while you're trying to remove it so just bunch up a corner again from the bottom and pull down again until it's completely removed. This method should remove I hope this saves some walls and prevents some people from having to spend money and time into repairing a wall. ... show more

  • No more drilling holes in the wall
Size: 20 Hooks
Why drill holes into the walls of your home or office, when you can use hooks? Prior to ever owning hooks, that was how I looked at hanging items on the wall. I then got to a point where I wanted something that could be used to hang items up on, while still being easy to remove and not leave unwanted marks; here is where I found hooks. For the past several years, I have been using hooks and not once have I ever been disappointed. They can be used for hanging towels, picture frames, keys, calendars, and anything you can think of that might normally be hung on the wall. One of the best things about these hooks are the pull tabs. When you are ready to remove or replace the hook, you simple pull on the tab and the hook slides off the surface. Overall, I am pleased and recommend to anyone looking for an alternative to nails in the wall. ... show more
