I bought a new case which came with a USB-C port but my mobo doesn't support it. I didn't want a useless port so, I picked up this conversion adapter and converted the USB 2.0 header to work with the 3.2 front I/O plug. Worked immediately on boot up.

Have not tested speed however it seems to work fine no issues. I wish I would've shopped around more because now I've seen some that use a cable to attach to the motherboard so that you don't have a large 2 inch adapter hanging off the pins on your motherboard like this one does.

This product is cheaply made and did not work when installing into my computer. I submitted a refund and as I went to remove it, the connections on the PCB slipped off with no pressure at all. It felt like the connections were not secured properly.

Purchased this to be able to plug in the USB ports on the top of a Corsair D-4000 gaming computer case. The motherboard did not have a pin to connect the case cables and found this adapter to be a winner! Plug and play! Would definitely recommend!

This great for those that cases with one USB 3 header cable and a USB 3.1 ( USB C ) header cable and two USB 3 headers on the MB, ran into that exact problem and this solved it. No you will not get 10 or 20gbs speeds but at least you won't have a dead USB C port on your case
