  • Better than I thought
Format: Kindle
I admit the title through me off and I was unsure if I would like this one. Forewarning there are triggers in this book, but if you are able to get past the trigger or feel comfortable reading it is a good read. There were a few parts that I did get emotional and teared up for the characters. The only major downfall I have is the last few sex scenes I skimmed through. There are so many they became repetitive and they are all very similar in process of how they are written. And honestly the sex scenes started to feel like fluff to make the book longer when I wanted to know the next part of the story itself. It was the same with repeating information about Jeremy and Ares and the turmoil each character is going through. Each time something arose it was another explanation of what was already said. The final thing that I should of noticed is I am not a multiple book girl with the same romance and characters repeated. And I should of looked for that. I was hoping the story would continue but move to another romance like SPOIL ALERT.......... Marcel and Charlotte. I wanted to read about their story next but instead it just continues the story of Ares/Mars and Aurora. Which is fine. Some people love that, but as I stated I'm already bored of the repetitive nature of this book. So knowing it will most likely continue to the next one has put me off from diving right in to it. Even though I want to know what it is the found at the end! I really do. But I will have to come back to this one to finish it. ... show more

  • Holy Moly!! what a story!!
Format: Kindle
I loved this book from the very first page. I enjoyed the details of the characters and the locations (details are my jam!) I read a lot of books each year (between 250 & 350) I really like it when the author is so very into his/her work that they make the reader feel as though they are part of the story. In this story from Emilia Rose (new-to-me author) I felt as though I could feel the fog, I could feel the energy between the characters, not just the spicy stuff, but the anger, fear and even dread. I will be reading the next books in this series because Cliff hangers are NOT my friend!! LOL. But I need to see how Ares/Mars & Aurora turn out. Emilia Rose, THANK YOU for all your words, I will be reading more from you ! ... show more

Format: Kindle
There was alot of sex but that isn't a deal breaker for me in a book. There was so much tease and build up in a scene that I most times couldn't remember if they had the big O or not. I was all set to read book two and I got the sample...I read it and after authors just lost her brother again, her father I in jail and hates her, they found out about crazy hounds and their nefarious evil things they are doing with dead people, why start the second book with a sex scene? Why does solve get cancer? Who put the stone in her brother? Poor Elijah! What up with Marcus? Did anyone else not care about Liam and TH rogue? It just got him out of th way for Marcus hopefully. Why was auroras mother so cold to her daughter? These characters did not seem like th Normal wolf family. I loved mars and Ares! I love when authors write in kids or animals but ruffles got to have too big of a part in the show, sorry. I will not continue on but thank you for an okay read for free. ... show more

  • Fantastic story
Format: Kindle
Action, adventure, mystery, deceit, violence, loss and love compete within the pages of this story. The delicate nature of each one is handled with a sensitivity that held me spellbound from the beginning. I throughly enjoyed reading this book and I look forward to reading the next book in the series. The characters are fascinating and still somewhat mysterious. There are questions remaining and more mystery to solve. Great storytelling. ... show more

  • Love in chaos
Format: Kindle
If ever there was a mother to hate, it was Aurora's mom. She had no life for her daughter. Aurora's bad luck with love didn't stop there though, at least not until she met Mars. The love we saw develop between the three of them is beautiful, and that's a good thing because Aurora deserved it. Make sure you have tissues ready in the last few chapters. There is a wonderful surprise that will have you wondering how it happened and a tragedy involving the same character. Read it with the knowledge that the story continues. ... show more

  • Shockingly good!
Format: Kindle
Beware the beginning if you’re not into the fated/instant love type of situation. It was a bit cheesy! But once you got into the meat of the story.. oh, man! It was such a good story! I couldn’t put it down! It ends on a cliff hanger, but for the main plot not the love story. The characters are beautifully broken. It makes their love story even stronger and brings them together in the most beautiful of ways! Truly enjoyed this and I hope you do to! ✔️fated mates ✔️villainous MMC ✔️lost FMC ✔️found family ✔️betrayal from family Check your triggers and enjoy! ... show more

  • I almost let the title dissuade me...
Format: Kindle
Ends on sort of a cliffhanger but the story is great! I did not like the title of this book although I see where it came from. I didn't think it really "captured: the characters. Aurora grew up in a pack with her parents and brother Jeremy. All was good until they were attacked, Jeremy killed and Aurora being hurt very bad. She survived but life was never the same again. She was Alpha but was never treated like it as she has problems shifting. She wasn't really treated well at all, told she was an Alpha but treated like a poor relative. Ares has quite the reputation as a fierce and cruel fighter, He is searching for a magical stone and will let nothing stop him. He and his pack approach the pack Aurora belongs to, ready to battle, realizes Aurora is his true mate. Her mother strikes a deal with Area, no battle with her pack and Ares would get Aurora. Aurora is terrified of Ares. She has heard about his skills on the battlefield and knows she possesses part of what he is searching for. Will she die? Does he feel the attraction, the need as she does? Both characters hold secrets that will affect their lives, and their bond to one another but more danger is closing in on them.... I really loved this story despite the title and the fact it is somewhat of a cliffhanger. It can be read as a standalone but the story does continue in the next book. Ares is fierce but there is another side to him...literally. Aurora is quite feisty which I was happy for. She is an Alpha, she has the skills needed, she just needs someone who accepts her. There is a lot of psychological pain within these two. Aurora because of the was she was treated and both of them because of a death of someone they loved. ... show more
