I was worried when purchasing the lighter color, because I thought a bunch of dirt would show, but they are surprisingly easy to clean, and honestly, not much dirt or dust kicked up on them in the first place. I was able to wipe off anything non-liquid with my hand and the rest came off with some water and a towel. The shoes took some breaking in... My first hike with them hurt one of my ankles a bit, but it was hot out, so I didn't have thick socks on. They were fine after that first time, but probably not great for summer/spring use. They are super thick on the bottom too, so you can't really grip or feel the earth like you would with a smaller hiking shoe, but I love them! They definitely stopped me from slipping on some rocks and whatnot. They are just as pictured. Great for horseback riding too! ... show more

Absolutely satisfied with these hiking boots. I just returned home from a 12 day hiking trip to National Parks and wore these boots all day, every day. I hiked many miles in rocky terrain and my feet did not hurt. I didn’t have to break them in at all. I got a lot of compliments and they’re cute! These are amazing!!! They were the only wide width hiking boots I could find that looked promising, and that they are. These are super comfortable, thick soles, and good ankle support. Most comfortable hiking boots. I do not have blisters or sore feet after a full day of hiking up and down a mountain, through river beds, etc. gave them the full workout. The only thing is that they run smaller than expected for me. I wear a size 8.5 so I purchased size 9 and I could have went to a 9.5 if I wear thick hiking socks. ... show more

My friend and I got the same boots (in different colors) for our recent trip. Neither of us had time to break them in beforehand, but these boots didn’t even need it! We hiked through three different areas, all of which included water, mud, rocks/boulders, dirt, and gnarly roots, and we both came out with dry, warm, blister-free feet. This shoe was exactly what I needed as a beginning hiker. I'm a runner so having hiking shoes is new to me and I knew I needed something to protect my ankles.
