I got this boot on sale for $75 - a steal! I’ve been using it for almost a year now, very happy with it. I live in Arizona and these boots do not get too hot even with wool socks in the summer (May be the lighter color I chose as well) They are slightly hard to clean dust off as they seem to absorb dust but hey who cares that’s what they’re here for! I will say I slightly sized up, as you are supposed to do with hiking boots, so I got a size 10.5 when I am normally a 9.5-10 and they have the perfect amount of extra space for thick socks/flexibility while hiking uneven terrain. I'm in my 70s with a lot of experience with hiking boots... I wanted/needed a "hiking boot" for other reasons and my older boots weren't ideal. I have a broken bone in my right foot and need to be able to work on re- landscaping and grading in my back yard resulting from several different projects. These boots are PERFECTLY DESIGNED AND EXECUTED! Ordered these and got them a day before my 10 day Iceland trip and they have been AMAZING! True to size, I didn’t size up or down from my regular size. Didn’t even have to break them in and I’m currently on my trip writing this review so you could probably just understand how satisfied I am by that.

These have been extremely comfortable for hours long periods of hiking. Required no breaking in after the initial purchase. Provide a lot of support not just on flat hikes but on rocky terrain and wet surfaces also. They also don’t feel heavy and breathe well; had no issues during summertime hikes with them being too hot. I would definitely go up a half size if you like to have a little breathing room for your toes. I didn’t do this and definitely wish I would have just for a little more space. We just got back from a trip to one of the wonders of the world, Machu Picchu, and these boots were amazing! We loved the color but were concerned they would get pretty dirty right away; we were wrong! They kept dirt off pretty nicely. They were comfortable and warm when needed yet breathable when the temps rose during the day. Definitely a great purchase and highly recommendable. We spent 6 days hiking and touring Cusco and they held up very well. The price was also very affordable and delivery was quick. I work at an RV dealership, so I’m constantly walking on gravel and in the winter snow & ice. There was never a break in process, I’ve had no issues & my feet have never once hurt. True to size. I wear an 8, sometimes get an 8.5 in hiking boots but these fit perfectly at an 8. Wore them for a few days around the house and they were totally comfy... no other break-in required before a long hike/backpacking trip. Toes didn't get sore on the long, steep downhills. Great for trail, scree, wet rocks, rock climbing, steep climbs, grass, mud, and overall high-mile hikes. No complaints! Might be an extra pair now for when these wear out! ... show more
