I’ve been wearing these hiking boots for the past few months on trails and around town, and they were very comfortable from the start. The break-in period was non-existent (they were ready to wear right out of the box), and they provide excellent support for long walks. The grip is solid on both dry and wet terrain, and the boots feel durable enough to handle regular use. The waterproofing is excellent and my feet stayed completely dry, even when crossing a river! The boots are lightweight enough to wear for all day wear, but for longer hikes they may become a bit heavy feeling. I just love these boots! They fit well, are a little on the wide side, but my feet are too. A wide shoe is sometimes too wide for me. But these regular sized boots are perfect! These are very comfortable and warm. They do run small and the wide is barely wide. My feet stay dry and they are light and easy to walk in. But the way the laces slide under the leather logo on the tongue is terrible. If snow is any higher than an inch, the tongues act like a snow scoop. And if it’s actively snowing or raining, the tongue funnels the wet right in! ... show more

These are excellent hiking boots. I purchased for 2 weeks I spent in Israel literally walking and hiking everywhere! They are very grippy and water proof! They are also super cute I did get compliments. They are sturdy as long as you tie them correctly and the size was perfect! I would buy these again! Do bear in mind these are hiking shoes not sneakers so they are a bit harder than a soft shoe but use the shoe strings to adjust for comfort. The fact that these are name brand I actually thought the price was really good considering how expensive name brand are and it’s not hype it’s the real deal! ... show more

    • My favorite hiking boot

Now that I’ve hiked about 50 miles (80km) in these boots, I can confidently recommend them. Not a loose thread in sight. I’ve hiked through creeks, I’ve submerged them in water AND mud. During a particularly treacherous hike, I had to walk through deep mud that covered the entire boot, laces and all. I used my water bladder from my hiking pack to rinse it, and it was back to looking fine. I didn’t take any special steps to clean or dry them, just kept hiking.They’re definitely waterproof, I’ve walked straight through the creek with no issues. I have a wider foot so I chose a wide and I’m glad I did. I feel like I could easily get another 50-100 miles out of these boots before they show any signs of needing replacement. They’re sturdy, the laces are nice and strong too. They’re not too heavy and they are able to fit wool socks into comfortably when I adjust the laces. I’ve even doubled up socks and made the fit. Still comfortable with my summer socks too. I did put in a Dr. schols insert in them just bc I tend to get plantar fasciitis but with the inserts in these boots I’ve actually never felt foot pain even on my longest adventures. ... show more
