  • Outstanding boots if you get the right size
Size: 10 Wide Color: Quarry, Cool Wave
It took me 5 pairs before I finally got the right size for these. Most Columbia boots run small and narrow. I know this because I own two different types of Columbia snow boots. They are the only brand I wear for snow/winter for the last 20 - 30 years. I bought these assuming they would also run small, big mistake. If you buy the right size, when you put these on, you won’t want to take them off because they are that comfortable. I normally wear 9-9.5 medium width shoes. I purchased a 10 wide, a half size up from my usual shoe size range, to allow for my feet to have plenty of room with hiking socks and because the toes are on my right feet do not lay flat like my left foot. Your toes should not feel squished in any shoe. I got wide because Columbia are usually on the narrow side. My left foot is a medium width (almost narrow) and my right foot is medium width (almost wide). I also purchased Columbia hiking socks which feel amazing in these boots. Quarry is a very pretty grey color with black, light grey and blue accents. Such a pretty color combination. I will be wearing these to walk our dog on the trails in our neighborhood, which I do daily and are often swampy and even flooded in some areas. I was previously using my Brooks Ghost sneakers but too often coming home with mud, wet socks and saturated shoes. We mostly do trails but also mix in some sidewalk walking, so I needed a shoe that would be good on both. I will come back to update my review should they not work well. Super excited to wear them tomorrow on our morning walk through the woods. Update: 2/20/23 I wore these yesterday for a 3 mile walk/hike through trails and on sidewalks walking a dog. They felt great while walking. I did notice that when I took them off, that my one hammer toe had redness from the top of the boots while walking but I never felt this while on the walk. A few hours later and my left knee has some strange pain while going up or down stairs. Next thing I noticed was some lower back pain and pain at the balls of both feet when I woke up this morning. Not sure that I will be wearing these often, maybe only on rainy days, but even then, I am not sure that the pain is worth it. I do have psoriatic arthritis in my knees but this pain is different, so I must have aggravated my knee somehow while wearing these hiking shoes. Debating on returning them because my brooks sneakers work great but I was specifically looking for waterproof and ankle support while on the trails. ... show more

  • Not waterproof, but a very comfy shoe.
Size: 10.5 Color: Glacier Blue/Nimbus Grey
I purchased these bc they are supposed to be waterproof. Mine are not. Wore them in Colorado in 36 degree weather & I can feel air coming into the toe bed so my toes were cold. Maybe they didn’t waterproof mine all the way idk or not at all bc mine are not. I wire regular athletic socks today, but will try them again with wool socks later. Either way they are one of the most comfy boots I have ever worn. The cushioning is magnificent. I’m disabled & have bad knees, hips, & spine & these were the most comfy shoes I’ve probably had in my life. I say that as an LL Bean, Land’s End, Merrel, Keen, & Columbia long time wearer. I got the baby blue color for around $40 with tax which is a great deal imo. The only big issue is I purchased them for winter walks with my dogs so they won’t work for their intended purposes. My dilemma is whether to keep them for spring boots. The light color means they will get dirty fast so idk. I just know they are crazy comfy & feel wonderful on my feet. I might try them with some fleece socks too & probably just spray them with boot waterproofing. They are like a canvas tennis shoe. The material they are made out of. So super light which I love due to my disabilities, but I don’t think I’ll be wearing these in the back country walks bc of the color I picked. Which I picked solely based on the price. I’m cost effective not cheap lol. I admit when I got them from the amazon locker they were so incredibly light that I expected garbage. While these are very light they are also an excellent walking boot imo tho if you need them to be waterproofed good luck bc mine are not. If you are sticking to plowed roads & sidewalks & avoid big drifts of snow & wear a thick wool sock these will probably work very well if you’re looking for a comfy hiking boot. Unfortunately I need something that can go off roads into the wilderness & snow drifts bc that’s where my service dogs prefer to walk. Lol. ... show more

  • Great hiking boots, needed a half size larger
Size: 8.5 Color: Cordovan, Crown Jewel
So I wanted some boots that I could use when I was walking around and it was not full snow and winter here. I do have winter(snow) boots, but I wanted a hiking boot for late fall and spring where it is not really cold. I looked at a lot of products, and I decided on the columbia's. So there are many reasons I chose these boots. They are very comfortable, and when I walk they just feel right on my foot. They are waterproof for spring and fall. I really wanted a boot that I could wear when walking to the nature center, and this path would be 3 blocks on concrete, and then 2 mile gravel path around a small pond. We can also hike up the hills through the oak and maple trees too. So in conclusion these boots are very nice, and you could really wear these as everyday boots. Pros: The boots are very well made and fit my feet well. Boot have good traction when hiking Give good ankle support, while not going up leg too far. These boots are waterproof The boots have a good cushion feel when walking. Nice boots for concrete street walking, or gravel paths, or hiking in the woods with leaves(versatile boot) ... show more

  • Very Comfy
Size: 9.5 Color: Black/Golden Yellow
I ordered these for our upcoming trip to Switzerland (Feb/March) I didn’t want snow boots, so I opted for hiking boots instead. Absolutely amazing. Wore them yesterday with thick socks to the store to break them in. We have a lot of ice right now and these have great traction. I usually wear a 9 and I got a 9.5 which fit excellent. I think a 10 would have been too big. I also switched the laces for purple to make them even cuter. I would definitely recommend these and the price was right! ($59) ... show more
